FX How many rings…..

How many o rings are SUPPOSED to be on an Fx liner. At what spacing, and what size are they?

I just swapped liners on my 700 .22 impact - there where only two o rings…. And I’ve seen videos of guys pulling 3-4 out when changing out.

I would think the more there are, the more stable the liner would be - but I could be all wrong

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Gut feeling is, a few. They just keep the shroud off of the liner. If you use a carbon fiber sleeve for the soda straw you don't use 0-rings. Won't hurt to have a few extras, give it a try and see what happens.

Using CF liners is a placebo, especially for those who bonded to the liner.
I have tried and back to orings.
From my engineering point of view if you research what the "node points" means on tubes - hollow or solid. Every rod/tube round or square has two node points=static non oscillating. Start tinkering from there.
All my liners I overdo the orings, spaced on 10cm along the length.... more won't hurt. Also, the OEM orings were NBR70 I replaced with NBR90, staying firmer even at high ambient Temp. Also replaced the barrel holding orings in the blocks as well.
