How much choke is too much

Yeah that's a heavy choke. With a starting point of 0.1775, a couple thousandths would probably be more optimal. Doesn't necessarily mean it will perform poorly but if it's like most barrels, bore roughness will exacerbate the tendency to leave trailing bits behind the head and skirt so if you can give it a good scrubbing, it may improve substantially. Whether it's fire lapping, a cast lap, or a compressible lap (e.g. jag+cotton patches+JB).

Yes seems too much unfortunately i already polished barrel thinking the same way.
