I finally recorded a video comparing the damage of coyote skulls from a pellet and a slug. Both coyotes were shot in the same farm at 70 yards, a year apart. The first coyote was shot with my 500mm Crown with the AA18gr pellet at 32ft.lb whereas the second coyote was shot with my 600mm Impact...

This would mean that a .25 Cal 29 grain NSA slug at 850 fps (45 fpe) would be more lethal that what I would have supposed for coyote size hunting.

I know the 29 grain 25 cal NSA shoots sub MOA at 100 yds from my RAW HM1000x. And I can sometimes hear them hit at that distance. So, yeah, maybe more powerful.

I'm still searching for a good slug shooter. Best one I have right now is the Evanix Sniper .50 cal.
All the other Evanix guns from .25 to .30 just did not like slugs.
Tried the NSA .25 in the FX Dreamlite and still not happy with groups at 50 yards.
Maybe the Superior liner would be better?

My Evanix Rainstorm .30 Cal shoots the NSA 44 grain slugs like a real champ.

My Evanix S10 .22 Cal shoot the NSA 24.8 grain perfectly well.

My son's Evanix Windy City .25 Cal shoot the 29 grain NSA slugs perfectly well.

Well. Like We all know. Not all Guns like the same ammo.
Not complaining about the Evanix as I did have 8 of them at one time!
Just none that liked the slugs.
Once past 40 yards? Didn't work for me.
The RainStorm .30? That thing was deadly with the JSB at 100 yards!
With slugs? I'd be lucky to get a 1 foot group!

A Cothran pistol can stack most any slugs you give it and it shoots 590-620 with 350g. That’s some food to chew on.
