RAW Rapid How to degas RAW Micro Hunter?

what

Exactly what all pellets have you tried? What speeds are you at? I know you said all but...all what? I went thru the same until I found them.......

Also I run both the Maple mags single shot loader and the magazine and both work flawlessly. The factory mag is junk for pellets.
Trying to remember all I've tried.

JSB 8.44
JSB 10.34
JSB 13.43 redesign
JSB 16.2
H&N FTT 8.64 in head sizes 4.50mm, 4.51mm, 4.52mm
H&N Barracuda Match 10.65gr in head sizes 4.50mm and 4.52mm
Newer Benjamin 10.5gr Single Die

I am usually able to find at least one great pellet out of the selection above but not here.

... I have been working with RAW for at least the last 2 months. And now it seems that they just want me to go away as they have stopped responding to emails (and telephone calls)...
To anyone who might have been watching this thread, the fresh news as of this morning is that my contact at RAW, who I have been working with for over 2 months, emailed me this morning and concluded (as I had) that it was maybe now the time to send my Micro Hunter back to RAW for their professional assessment. We had proceeded as far as we could troubleshooting via email on my flyer issue.

I happily agreed, and he sent me an RMA number, a problem form to fill out and a pre-paid return label. My Micro Hunter is winging its way back to the RAW factory as I type this, and I certainly do hope that they can figure out what I could not.

I will have to say that the RAW Micro Hunter certainly has the very best trigger of any of my compact hunting/pesting guns. If it can attain the consistent accuracy of the others it will move to top of the heap.

I'm certainly glad that RAW has continued working with me on this issue with the logical next step in (hopefully) resolving it.

It should be able in doing dang near hole in hole at 25 IMO.
I've reworked a few of these so far and a bit of change up does wonders for shot count and efficiency.
Being sorta the same gun tho using a Theoben MFR receiver & 12g LW, my home brew micro hunter shoots stellar !!

I wish you all the best in having RAW get it sorted, as i suspect a new barrel likely required.

Yes, it could be capable of that. Especially with such a great trigger.

Bull on the target below is 0.33". 25 yards, 10 shot group, JSB 10.34's, single loaded with a CARM SSL, no wind. Shot off a bench, bipod & rear bag.

I would just like to get something near this (and without 2 or more 1/2"-3/4" random flyers out of a 10 shot group) using a magazine, even if I could only use a CARM magazine.

Hopefully RAW will figure it out and provide a cure.

RAW and AF are BOTH aware that the LW poly barrels are hit and miss, and yet they BOTH keep selling them. I have dealt with (3) bad .22cal barrels and (1) bad .25cal barrel this past year. The only way I could get my .22cal RAW accurate was by ordering a 12-groove barrel direclty from LW and having Motorhead machine it for me. It now shoots fantastic.
Did you order a Poly barrel or standard groove??

My 22cal LW Poly is very hit n miss. I want to rebarrel it aswell. Happy to shoot either slugs or Pellets but nothing is consistant. Its a shame as everything else about the rifle is awesome.

It’s a standard groove barrel that is accurate. The poly barrels have sucked

You can do that. Just pick one on LW web site with OD of .625 to .71 & have LW ship to Martin. You would be under $400 total. I like the LW 10g stainless version, it's accurate. .71 will clear the CF bottles. Get a few gonogo pin gauges . a .624 .6245. .625 .6255 & .626, you can pick em up for couple bucks each & no more then $4. a piece. Amazon has em. That way you can send the GO pin measurement to martin for your action. Motorhead is more then capable also. You will need the pin gauges regardless of who does it. I prefer non choked barrels but am entertaining a taper lap project for a RAW.

I’ve had no problems with factory mags for pellets or slugs in .177-.30cal over the past five years of competition shooting. Why do Esau the factory mags are junk?

.177 pellets flip sideways inside. It’s far too deep for standard pellets and too weak to use heavy long slugs so…someone dropped the design ball there.
It’s a 14fpe gun…slugs? IDK but the maple mag works awesome. The RAW mag would smash and destroy pellets and literally have several pull out while cocking. I mainly use the single shot loader anyway but quickly removed that mag from the case.

Jeff, my 177 came with one of these extra deep mags is the issue - not a proper pellet mag really. If it had been the marauder style then fine, I know those work. So I had to buy a mag and went with Maple and its flawless. They also made me a narrow side shot loader for my other RAW and I love it.
