how to depressurize Fx impact regulator

Hi,I was reading Fx manual and there is a notice that gun should not be fired withought air but there is little bit of air in ragulator when the bottle is off.My question is can i dry fire the gun to let the air out of regulator, and will it harm regulator if it stays under the pressure for longer time when the gun is not used.

i notice that sometimes regulator will be depressurized after while and sometimes doesn't when the air bottle is off.
Maybe somebody can answer.

Hi Jean,
AoA has two different videos where reg work is being done. In one vid, the guy says just to fire off a shot to release the rest of the pressure in the reg OR to just let it leak out and eventually it will empty. In the other video (with the same guy) he says to remove the reg pressure manometer, which will also release the air in the reg. I'd recommend the latter way of doing it. I've had my impact apart a couple of times and did both ways. When i took my Impact reg apart to change the o rings i fired a shot to release the air, but ...since the orings were leaking, i ended up firing the gun on an empty reg. Next time, manometer removal all the way for me. So, in answer to your question: i don't know. :) But i wouldn't dry fire it.
