How to refill grease pot on GX-CS4 Compressor?

Hello everyone and hope all is well.

I just received my GX-CS4-I compressor and I have a questions regards on how to refill the grease pot. After I unpacked the unit I unscrewed the pot and noticed it was mix of yellowish grease and white grease combined together. I unscrewed CCW the small plunder knob all the way in, took the existing grease I wasn't happy with and added some of my SuperLube Silicon Lubrication grease. My question is, once the grease if filled all the way to the edge (flush), once I screw the pot grease back in, do I need to turn the small plunger knob once or twice prior firing the compressor for the first time? Or should I screw the grease pot and leave it as is and only turn it twice per manual after the first 4-6 hours of usage? Any advice or tips would be helpful. I appreciate in advance!

I think that grease needs to be high pressure food grade grease. I don’t think you want silicone grease in there. You may blow it up.
Thanks for chiming in. I followed this gentleman's advice from his YouTube video couple of days ago prior receiving the compressor and purchased the grease as he recommended. I can buy the right one, it's not a problem. My main question is if i need to turn the small plunger knob once or twice prior firing the compressor for the first time? Or should I screw the grease pot and leave it as is and only turn it twice per manual after the first 4-6 hours of usage.

Diehard Yong Heng fan but have been keeping up with other compressor platforms. Clear to me that too much grease can damage GX-CS4 and factory has already injected correct amount to cover until they recommend adding more. From your description it doesn't appear you've removed the grease injected by the factory so I'd refrain from injecting more until 4-6 hour usage. WM

My description clearly says I removed the factory grease from the pot and re-filled it with my own grease. Question still remains what needs to be down once the pot has been screwed back in. Thanks anyways.

If the compressor is brand new, don't add grease or turn the knob until the recommend time. And I wouldn’t mix 2 different types of grease.
Thanks Ta-Ta. I only added one kind of grease because the factory one had yellowish and white color grease mixed inside the pot and I decided just to remove it and add some of my own. Any grease recommendations?

I've added this one but someone earlier mentioned that it might not be the correct grease to use with the CS4.

Don't use that. GX says food based HP grease. I ended up getting this. A little pricey, but I have enough for both my compressors.

Thanks man. Appreciate your advice. I just went ahead and ordered some.

Do I fill the grease pot all the way to the edge with the top small screw turned all the way CCW and then just screw the grease pot back on without turning small screw CW?

Correct, but just leave a little room for the diaphram. So maybe leave about 1/8" recessed back.

And even though you cleared out the pot, the piston assembly etc still has the factory grease in it.
Gevtron,
This is the point I was trying to convey, too much grease injected in piston assembly is a problem, your efforts cleaning/refilling grease pot don't affect this. Injecting more grease in piston assembly, before prescribed time, should be avoided. WM

Link to the food-grade grease for reference. You will need to choose "NLGI 0" from the drop-down.

I tried searching for it on Amazon, but no luck.

Thanks guys for the input. I tried to look on Amazon too but no luck, ended up purchasing NLGI 0 - 8oz container directly from their website. I will fill the pot with this grease and and won't inject anything until I use compressor for 4-6 hours. I ended up buying a hour meter from Amazon to keep an accurate time on the compressor use. Thanks everyone for your time and helpful directions!
