how to remove suspected moisture or water from rifle tank?

Hey guys...was hoping you can point me in the right direction.

I was filling up my Hatsan Barrage and when I remove the connector I noticed some moisture. I turned the compressor again and there was a lot of water coming out.

I'm not sure, but I believe that I may have some moisture inside the rifle tank...

What would it be the best method t remove any moisture I may have?

When you say “a lot of water is coming out” how much water do you mean? A few droplets is fairly normal for hand pumps on a humid day. Are you using a cheap pump that may be letting water leak into the pressurized air? A lot of water would be concerning to me simply because it would indicate a problem with the compressor.

Moisture is usually just blown out with the air in the normal shot cycle. I am not familiar with the Hatsans though.

When I replace my seals in the marauders I always apply a thin coat of silicone grease to the walls of the air chamber. My original gen1 marauder with many many thousands of pellets through it still has no corrosion anywhere inside. And this is with several years of strictly hand pumping with no moisture filter of any kind.

Occasionaly when I tear it down I’ll see a few droplets of moisture in the air reservoir, but they just get blown out with the air in normal use.

I would think if a person was worried about it, they could elevate the rifle so that any water is directed towards the valve and then fire the rifle a few times to blow the moisture out.
