How to sell / ship air guns? (Kids grown and now only want to shoot firearms ..)

Hello All:

My children and I enjoyed shooting air rifles when they were teenagers. Now they have firearms and don't want to shoot air guns with me anymore - can you believe it !

I have an RWS Diana Model 48 with nice scope and a nice break barrel and a couple of beginner air rifles that I would like to sell.

I found out I cannot advertise on Craigs list or any of the usual places ... bummer.

Does anyone know how to advertise locally in the Dallas Fort Worth Area?

Are there special requirements for shipping air rifles to a buyer - i.e. are they treated like firearms?

Thank you for your help with these questions !!!

You not gonna get top dollar here especially after the unreal super cheap sale such as the $196 RWS 48 and $240 RWS 54 sale from Umarexusa.

EBay airgun buyers are either filthy rich with cash burning homes in their wallets or natural born stupid or just plain ignorant so you can get top dollar over there who probably don't even check prices anyway and don't know Umarex has super unbelievable cheap sale. You likely make out top dollar selling to a rich idiotic buyer on eBay.

$245.50 less 20% off NRA2020 code = $196.40 brand new RWS 48 from Umarex.

You can sell it on here in the classifieds. Nothing saying you cant sell for local pickup only, but odds are there arnt a lot of people in your area on here. You can ship it with no issues anywhere in the US, except for where the buyer cannot receive it. All you have to do is google the shipping restrictions for air rifles.

Obviously box it up so it doesn't say its an air rifle so it isn't stolen, and you will want to box it up at home so the people at the post office/ups store don't freak out. Its legal, but just like all parts of society there are people that are just absolutely afraid of guns. A buddy had the cops called on him because the lady at UPS store saw it was a gun and was scared for her life. The officer is like "what do you want me to do?". A manager had to be called in from home to put the label on it and put it in the bin because she would not go near it.

How was she even able to talk to the cop who was carrying an actual handgun not in a box?

I hope she was fired for that.

Knowing ups she probably was promoted.
