How to store a pump gun? (Zoraki)

I store my pump guns with one pump in them when I put them up, I was told it will make the seals last longer,

What about the Zoraki pistol ? I was told not to do this with my one pumpers like the P17....

But back to the Zoraki ?

I have no specific information from the manufacturer on this but I store mine empty.

Storing with some pressure will never hurt. If the piston uses an O-ring with typical tolerances, it’s not necessary though. The P17 is one such example. 

It benefits designs that instead use a rubber pump cup. When left unpressurized, it can sometimes relax and lose contact with the walls. Keeping some pressure on it will keep the cup conformed to the walls.

The Zoraki pump mechanism is much more like the P17 than the other type mentioned. As to whether some pressure left in the gun could help maintain the check valve sealing (which the Zoraki has but the P17 doesn't), that is another question and I have no knowledge on such.

I keep two in my Sheridan and just recently started leaving some air in the IZH46M.

It does wonders, IMHO

I’ve had 2 and never left any air in them. Always worked fine. But who knows.
