Hows my setup?

This is my first compressor and only 2 airguns.

It's been filling my pcps just fine. If there are any improvements I can make, please let me know. I've enjoyed tinkering, and some pew pewing.

Ps. All those juice jugs are expired and make great targets. The old expired sodas have been really fun to pop.

The only problem I see is that second gold filter not being upright, maybe zip tie it next to the other one, otherwise it looks very good.

Im thinking that one is like an upgraded one it comes with. It doesn't use gravity like the one that's Upright. All the pics I've seen of the one without the drain port are horizontal, which is why it's like that (monkey see, monkey do). The vertical one came with a mounting bracket and instructions to keep it vertical, the other didn't.

These are similar oil water separators others are using like that one.

If I did secure it Upright, I'll need an extension pressure cable and adapter. More tinkering!

I'm running those 2, not exactly sure which order they should be in, but there they are.

Thanks

You have them in teh order I would suggest as the Yong Heng filter gets all the moisture first and the filter can be pulled and dried whereas the beg media filter has stuff in it that costs money to replace.

All filters should be upright so moisture does not saturate, flow through them and into your guns and tanks..

Which side should be up?

I would prefer a closed loop for the water cooling, but easy for me to say as i have ( spare ) four unused / new ( well 10 - 12 years ago ) 12 V pumps and a unused 230 V Einhem aquarium pump, and also have a plethora of radiators and fans as i have been a avid computer nerd / overclocker since the late 90ties. So really all i would need to buy is a reservoir and a little hose.

Really you could probably use a car radiator & 12 Fan from a salvage yard if you dont want to but a dedicated radiator, the radiators i use now are all copper so that in one end and steel / ALU in the other end, you would need something to stop / hamper galvanic corrosion happening.

Ss,

Two other things came to mind; 1. Hard to see in pic but 10" box fan inboard of compressor. Use during operation, then relocate to blow air from front to back, while still running water pump, after compressor shut down. 2. I use air, from an upright air compressor, to remove excess cooling water from head, using brass hose fittings, until exiting air feels dry. Permanent cooling system operators often use chemicals to protect internal cooling jacket from corrosion. Corrosion on internal cooling jacket can happen, in varying degrees, depending on water condition, and should be considered.

Looks like you got the answer, before I came back around, and I even have mine in the right orientation. Got to get lucky now and then I guess. ;^)
