Haven't had a chance to run it across the chrony. I would guess first shot at least 400 fpe. I hope to test it soon as the whaether gets better.

What is your barrel length?Haven't had a chance to run it across the chrony. I would guess first shot at least 400 fpe. I hope to test it soon as the whaether
Just got my first pcp, an AEA Hp Max 457. I'm really liking it. As far as fpe and accuracy goes. If there anyone out there has had both? Which did you prefer, why?
I have been thinking about going the longer barrel route, but not till I have the 13inch totally dialed in.Malsonb I see you have the 700 cc bottle on yours. Did you lose any power due to restricted airway in the adapter? I'm thinking about converting mine as well. Flyingsherpa perhaps you might be interested in getting the longer barrel kit from Bintac along with a larger air tube. I had mine out after the conversion and it seemed to be shooting all the lighter stuff I have very hot. I ended up sighting it in with 246 gr lucky seven max velocity slugs just to get on paper.
I haven't shot my .457 barrel over chrony yet. My .510 barrel was shooting 400 plus with cf bottle and original tank. Fpe was about the same. For my gun it did not restrict any air flow. We currently have a foot of snow and hope to do some testing when the wheather clears.Malsonb I see you have the 700 cc bottle on yours. All my fills when testing .510 barrel were around 4300 psi.Thank you, I tend to fill only to 3800-4000. My gun seems to like that fill pressure better.
I usually top off. I'm still learning my shot curve. Plus I tend to be more concerned with the pressure not getting too low. Bin at the pellet shop advised me to not go below 3200psi. He said the valve pin will last forever. If I don't let the pressure get too low.All my fills when testing .510 barrel were around 4300 psi.
I was running a .457 with regulator and getting around 760 with a 260 grn but i think im going to sell it and get a texan to hunt with...idkI would love to see some chronograph numbers.
