I’m relatively new to the Huben scene so forgive me if this is old news. I think I’ve read every Huben thread but something may have skipped by.. I’ve always wanted to use my 22 for low power plinking and pesting but the awkward fact is that the gun likes heavier pellets running at speeds >925fps. Below that speed, the accuracy opens up and it tends to be worsen with lighter pellets. After lots of testing, the best combo that I had was with a Huma reg set at 95bar, shooting Hades or 18.1s at 930fps. 1.5-2MOA at 50 yards, hitting my little spinners about 50% of the time. Exceptionally quiet but not what I consider backyard friendly in terms of power, at 30-35fpe. I’ve tried all kinds of pellets in the K1, including some rare oversized wasps but all have been lead, aside from those copper coated FTTs, which sucked. I never use lead-free pellets in any of my PCPs but for some reason, I decided to try them in the K1. Wow, what a revelation! 11.75grain GTOs at 890fps (20fpe) and I’m mashing a grain of corn in my duct seal block at 50yards. 19/19 hits on my spinners and then triple tapping them into ragged holes.
Has anyone else tried these in the K1??? Im guessing that they’re so solid that they don’t get damaged shooting from the mag in to the barrel
