Huben Dream Valve 7075 On Notos Leaking - Design Flaw???

Hello,

Have the Dream valve and wondering if anyone else is having issues with the plenum end to air gun blowing o-rings? Mine has held great since I got it a couple months back. Went out today to squeeze off a few down range and the gun was empty. Put it on the compressor and the leak was louder than the compressor. Took it apart to find the blown o-ring. Replaced it with a new stock o-ring and put it back on the compressor. Got upto 1200 PSI and the o-ring between the plenum and block where it swivels was leaking. Took it apart again, did some digging and found an o-ring for that, pumped it up again and then the plenum to gun o-ring blew out again.

Great fun.

What I found is the bevel cut on the Dream Valve is a shallower cut that the original tube air chamber to retain the o-ring in. Went through my small collection of stock o-rings thinking they were defective. I finally pulled out the calipers and started measuring to find the bevel difference. The stock o-ring is to large for the bevel cut on the Dream Valve. It looks like the bevel cut on the Dream Valve is about 30% less of an angle than stock making the retainment area for the o-ring to small for the stock o-ring size. To get the Dream Valve to completely capture the o-ring and prevent another blow out, I stumbled onto roughly a 10 MM ID by 2.6 CS ish. The o-ring that worked ended up having a cross section of 17.5 ish mm(outside to outside) when on the threaded stud of the gun. Don't rememmber the exact size of the o-ring(sorry), cause I tried quite a few to get one that wouldn't leak or blow out.

Pumped things up for the last o-ring experiment and it is still holding air.

Hope this helps anyone else who is unlucky enough to have this problem. I saw some mention buried in a thread, but wasn't sure it was at the plenum to gun connection.
