Huben Huben gk1 .254 slugs

The best weight is 42 & 44 avs slugs. 253 and or 254. I like the 254’s. These are the most accurate weights. The magazine was designed to grab the skirt of the jsb disbolo’s. This not a flaw it’s a design feature. The gun’s mag and barrel were not designed for slugs. We may like using them but the GK1 was not made to shoot slugs. The problem with using smaller diameter ammo allows the pellets or slugs to shift forward and cause a jam which will cause the gun dumps it full fill in one shot. You then u need to dismantle to unjam. Seating the ammo assures you that this does not happen.

Yes exactly you are correct. Tbh I’m not really worried about accuracy with slugs. That’s why I go for the heaviest slug for the most stopping power. When I am plinking I will most likely just stick to Jsb king heavies with one full turn on the hammer spring.

Have you gotten the 253s yet? I like the idea of 254 but using a pen to seat them makes me think they don’t fit…. Like “fitting” into a size 9 shoe when you’re an 11
Hey just wanted to come back on here to give you an update. The 253 dish slugs from AVS seem to be a perfect fit. No seating required even but I still do. I think the hollow base slugs from them may be too long though haven’t tried them. The dish based one’s fit perfectly length wise as well they seem to be just as long as the mag chambers. I got the 48 grain. I haven’t shot them yet though so I’ll have to get back to you guys about that. With the Jsb heavies though this may be the most accurate pistol I have ever shot. More than pb’s too

You’re having a problem due to the lead recipe.
NSA has antimony in it which makes the lead harder. You need to use pure lead slugs which are more malleable. I use AVS slugs. .254 flat base 42 gr. This info was procured from Kelly at Krazykool. You can also use .253 which fit better but .254 shoot better. The other reason I use .254 is that I also have the k1 which uses the .254 so I only need one slug for both.
Keep the n mind that the Gk1 is not designed for slugs it specifically designed for pellets hence the mag design that grabs the pellet skirt when you push it in.
Any questions or issues that you might have with Huben you can text or call Kelly @ Krazykool, he is the Huben Wizard and knows both guns inside out. He is also the warranty repair person for many of the dealers.

Hopefully the 48gr fit and aren't too long. Not sure how AEA or JTSZ run the skirt sizes on the .25 cal but in .22 cal there is no seating required when shooting the AEA as they are .224 sized

Yes the 48 gr Avs are not too long. Although I think the hollow based ones may be. The dish, cup, and flat seem to all fit. Yes I am def going to try out some of the aea pellets to see how those run!
