Huben Huben GK1 Problem

yesterday i let my best friend shoot my version 3 22 cal pistol/carbine, it was cold & misting rain so i stayed inside looking out of window while he stepped outside on porch,, he was shooting the caps off a water bottles at 35 yds & loving it, & then i heard a strange sound & he had shot it too low on air, , i had a hard time getting the fill probe out at first (i leave it in the the a/g .anyway to not lose it.)
. so when i filled the gk1 & shut off the fill tank & then bled the fill hose the a/g bled down also ,after a few times, i finally got the probe out with close to 3000 psi, so he started shooting again, 5 shots & a loud noise , the lever to release the mag for loading blew open & he felt air in his face, now the lever has maybe 1/2 of the original tension, & the mag stuck in place, anyone have any ideas how to get it working again? PS , sorry i know this post is rambling, i have a sinus migraine, roger

@RAMJET66 You may want to check the owner’s manual and the “All Thing GK1 - Master Thread”. I’ll check with you. I think there are instructions in how to fix this sort of thing in one of them. I think I’ve read of this issue before.
thanks, not sure where the owners manual is, i gave the case it shipped in to my son , as i converted to a carbine..

@RAMJET66 Here’s a thread with some info that may be helpful

Here’s a link to the digital owner’s manual

A link to the digital manual can be found on pg 1, post #1 of the “All Things Huben GK1 - Master Thread.” There is also a “Problems and Troubleshooting section within the first post.

This is why it's important to keep your manual, I'm surprised how many people can't find there's

@RAMJET66 Well sleep is important too. Please let us know what the issue was once you get it sorted.

In all fairness, the manual is sparse. For instance, it doesn't cover resetting the striker, which I found myself doing multiple times until I got it right. It seems that I forgot to pull the trigger to release the sear simultaneously with the reset. Asking the forum helped. This is a different mechanism than most are familiar with. At least it was for me.

@WobblyHand In its sparseness it addresses an issue that the OP describes.

For a basic pellet jam, yes, I'd agree. That's in the manual. Fortunately, I haven't had to deal with that. The manual doesn't cover a total disassembly, for that you need to consult online sources. Best that is shown is the exploded view. I'm grateful for the exploded view and parts list, but it's not a substitute for a disassembly procedure.

@WobblyHand This is true and is why the Master Thread contains some of its contents and is open for all to add resources to. I'm pretty sure there is at least one decent tear down video.
