Huben Huben GK1 V3 red dot mount

Question - if you didn't have a way to make your pistol nose heavy should you adjust your sight to the left? That way im not constantly fixated on that trigger squeeze. As you know there is 10 other things you have to think about and this would eliminate one.
In Olympic competition, the pistol has to fit in a certification box to be legal and the pistol must fall within weight limits. That is why bob weights are used because of the rules. However us non-competing folks buy pistols that balance well and fit our hand. Aiming left or adding a stock or using a scope are band-aids, not a solution. Most pistol owners cannot shoot a hand gun worth a damn. It is very difficult and it takes hours and hours of practice. Even then, that skill is perishable without diligent and continuous practice. Most hand gun owners cannot afford either the time or ammunition cost.

On another point not mentioned above is barrel length. A longer barrel accomplishes several things. First is a longer sight plane allowing the shooter to see sight error more clear. The greater the forward mass also reduces recoil climb allowing the shooter to be back on target sooner for follow-up shots. In Practical pistol competition it is common to see extended slides on 45 cal. slide guns. As one more point, adding 1' to the standard 5" barrel colt .45 ACP will add 50 FPS with the same load.

I got the mount I mentioned. It works well with the Vortex Venom red dot. I needed the mount because I replaced the stock barrel shroud with a functioning 25mm OD CF stroud with integrated LDC. The rear sight would be partially obstructed by the new shroud, and no dovetail to mount a sight anymore. The shroud volume contains the muzzle blast. The gun is very quiet now! Shooting 0.177 10.8g at about 800 fps even the shooter wouldn't think a gun was shot. A person standing next to a shooter doing rapid fire wouldn't know what the sound was. :) It sounds like a pneumatic tool venting air. The gun is about 3.5" longer and weighs 0.05 lbs. less than the gun in stock form. Better sights, quieter and lighter!

How do you all determine the correct style mounting plate to buy in order to mount a reflex sight on the GK1?
Are you referring to which of the GK1 mount's "footprint" style to buy? If so, then the mount style depends on the reflex sight that ypu plan to.put on there, as each brand and model of sight has its own ''"footprint." Here's an explanation and list of them.
