Just an update on the slow leakage problem of my Huben. It was found that air was leaking between the valve stem of the regulator and the housing. At first I thought it was due to a bad O ring but it turns out that the seat is not smooth. Problem fixed by a little lapping of the seat.

When shooting slowly I pulled the trigger and then it takes seconds to get back up to full pressure is this normal? I have a email to the person I purchased it from I just want to know from other people's experiences also

I am not sure if this is normal but definitely an undesirable thing which is also observed on my .22 Huben K1 ( vesrion 2 ). I think it's due to imperfect mating between the valve stem and the plastic seat ( I don't know the correct technical terms ) at the high-pressure end of the regulator. I am trying to fix it by lapping the plastic seat but no success so far.

It is important to understand the recovery time of your regulator is depending on the high pressure of your main cylinder in the Huben K1. If you are starting from 4500 psi fill and the regulator is taking a second or 2 to recover between shots back 1 or 2 MPa, this is much different then if you have shot one or two 19 shots magazines down from the full fill pressure in the main tube and the regulator has less high pressure to hold back. Said differently, it can recover much more quickly and show less variation when its working with a full 4500 to 5000 psi main tube working pressure. Hopefully this makes sense. It is always a good idea when shooting the Huben to watch the receiver pressure closely while you are shooting. With the improvement of adding the main tube fill gauge from Huben you can check both, but for those who do not have this latest 2019 Huben advancement - you have to watch your receiver (working or low pressure) gauge closely.

Since I have not been able to own a Huben K1 in UK I have not contributed to the discussions in this forum since the early days when there was interest in the Huben Patent and the operating system. But I have followed with interest the experiences of users as reported in this forum.

I have not seen any detailed report concerning the consistency of shot to shot velocity during a complete exhaustion of the main reservoir of the Huben, but I suspect that despite the advantage of the higher available power, the use of conventional regulators to control the starting and finishing pressures of each shot would introduce a variation in power as the pressure in the main reservoir falls just as there is a power curve in the conventional hammer operated PCPs even when fitted with a regulator.

The Huben would not therefore seem to be a suitable weapon for bench rest competition, but I would be interested in any comments.

Today I am surprised to find three thin O-rings in the DIY silencer I made for my Huben ( version 2 ) . It must came from the rifle. I have done some dry firing with the rifle, is it possible for some of the O-rings to be blown out of the action ? if yes, where are these O-rings located ?

I have now taken the rifle apart so it is impossible for me to tell whether there are any leakage because of the lack of these O-rings.

Those O-Rings pictured were not inside the receiver or the action as you call it. Those O-Rings would have been inside the barrel shroud possibly between the baffles in the shroud.

Any easy way to degas the cylinder without having to remove the stock?

You can easily degas huben from the top steel screw near the magzine just unscrew it little bit

For the owner's of the 22 Huben is the lowest reg pressure can you run at? If I run mine under 25 bar it the neetle takes some time to fill no matter the main tanks pressure. I'm just wondering if I have a second bad reg?

can you please show me which screw this is? does this degas the cylinder as in gregor video below to degas the cylinder he talks about removing the stock, degassing the regulator first, then removing the regulator and cylinder, before finally degassing the cylinder! If I can do it with just the screw you mention on the outside it would be awesome!

Mine is ver 2. I have got two black screws ( not silvery ) on the top of the receiver and next to the magazine. One is for limiting the power to a very low level so the degassing screw is the other one ( has a star-shape socket head ) ?

the regulator wheel is at a minimum after that you unscrew the two screws of the back cover; pull out the spring; then you substitute the tap and make a shot;

thanks for photo - i have slight different looking screw (below) on top of receiver - are you saying this will degas the cylinder (& not regulator)? want to be absolutely sure before I start trying to remove endcap of the cylinder.

Screw is at the same position so try it only loose it 1/2 turn and check it whether it start to degas
