Huben Huben K1 - Highly Under Rated Gun?

So the barrel is the only thing that may be different from now till then. Most of the other “concerns” remain.

I don’t think anyone is contending that this is the best gun out there. It’s cool for what it is. It’s just not for everyone.

The safety is fine, it’s just that it can’t be decocked. Not the best design. I think it’s great for people who know what they are getting themselves into.

Matt Dubber is qualified to review airguns. He is pointing out everything he noticed, including the fact that you can’t decock the gun. That was the main reason for voicing safety concerns. Was one of the first reviews that popped up on YouTube, which is why I watched it and linked it not everybody is going to support every gun.

It sounds like it’s a powerhouse and when it’s working right sounds like it’s awesome. Being that it’s hammerless and different than 99% of the other air guns on the market makes it kind of hard to work on It sounds like.

It seems like an awesome powerful accurate rifle, but it’s definitely not for everybody

And out of curiosity, what is outdated about this video what has changed since the video has been released? Is the Mk 2 not the most recent version of this?
I respect your opinion. And I'm not trying to get into a pissing match.

But first off this is an Adult rifle not a children's rifle. But, if you want to shoot in your basement or your backyard with the kids, turn the Huben down to 110bar on reg. turn the power wheel open one to two clicks and get 500-700 shots per fill using Crossman 14.3gr. and have a great time. The Huben is so versatile.

The shroud sys is very effective for the power that this rifle is capable of. Show me another rifle that can produce up to 80ft/lb that is quiet.

Hubens are not everyone that's why we are blessed in this sport to find something that fits everyone's needs & wants. I really like the Huben for my needs as a hunting rifle. It's not made to shoot competition paper punching, but it will hold its own. Accuracy is in the eyes of the beholder. I have taken more game with this rifle than any other rifle that I have owned. From 7,000 grackles in one week using a Crossman 14.3 @ 340fps, 50 crows in a season using JSB redesign 25.39 @ 960fps, to 50+squirrels in season using a Nelson 27.5gr slug @ 960fps yearly.

If you are concerned about a live round in the mag. ready to fire, there is some options. After shooting rotate mag. to an empty mag hole. Use a tool of your chose to push the loaded rounds out of the mag.

As far as changes, Huben has made several changes to their air rifles from 2016 to the present. From internal changes, regulators, power wheel valves, barrels, air tube gauges, shrouds, quality control, to name a few. And yes, it functions the same from year to year. As far as repairs a lot of people were afraid of them because it was a new design for the air gun world. To me they are very easy to maintain & to service, it's just something to get used to.

I'm just stating my honest opinion, and No Huben is not for everyone. Just like FX, Daystate, etc are not my cup of tea.

Happy shooting to everyone & keep enjoying this sport.

This is not my opinion and we’ve established these are not for children 😆

I have no opinion on the rifle as I don’t have one. My opinion is that it is not highly underrated. That is all.

So, I don't like this outdated video. One thing that comes to mind is these are adult air rifles, not children. 2018-2020 Hubens had LW barrels and were designed to shoot pellets, so I don't know why he can't shoot pellets. 2021-present Huben uses their own non choked barrel sys. which works great for pellets & slugs. He is comparing the trigger to a bolt rifle Really; that's like comparing apples to oranges. It's a semi auto, But I will say for a semi auto it has one of the best triggers on the market.

Personally, this person was not the right person for this review.
I disagree. I think he points out the good & bad points objectively. Isn't that what a non biased review SHOULD do? The FACTS are relevant still. Found a post on here from a while back (Nov. 2021) & it states another negative about the gun yet it's from an owner & fan. If I can find it again I'll repost.

There is negative and positive things or thoughts about every air gun.

I think the video sux my opinion. The Huben is capable of so many things the pros out do the negatives.

I feel like we are getting away from the title of subject bfloyd is stating that he feels that Huben is a underrated air rifle. We are not here to bash it.

I am a Huben Lover not everyone is that's what makes the world go around.

I'm really not bashing it. To be honest I wish I had one. Fascinating guns! I'm just glad there are people pointing out what potential buyers NEED to be aware of before getting into one.

i had one in .25 and it was a powerhouse, but it had a few quirks with ammo, even the
oversized recommended slugs. i got it to shooting nice with the help of jacespace, gregor and kelly.
sold it and bought another in .22 and shoot the peanut slugs with awesome accuracy, power and reliability. i only fill to 4k psi and i top-off after each mag which means 19 dead critters !! :sneaky:
Yup, my one dislike about that gun is that it like .254 ammo specifically due to the magazine. Feeding the ammo in a full day of shooting had my thumb wanting no more of it. It shot amazing though, clover leaf groups at 140yds was easy peasy with the 38.5gr going 970. You can get custom magazines from Kelly to shoot specific sized slugs which makes it even better.

Exactly this 👆

I’ve not heard one person bash the gun. I didn’t bash the gun, Gerry52 didn’t bash the gun, in fact we both said it was cool. It’s just not for everyone.

I think pointing out the facts of the gun the way you see them is exactly what we should be doing. I linked Matt’s video because he is widely respected in the airgun world.

And to get back to the original point of the post, it was about if the gun is underrated, which is subjective, but it certainly doesn’t seem underrated.

Very cool technology, very innovative, I’d have no interest in purchasing one of these but if you have one and love it, that’s great. I don’t really see a need or benefit of having this, but it’s cool 😆

I’ve got an Impact M3 and there’s certainly people here who don’t like FX and wouldn’t consider the Impact an overrated gun, but I love mine. No need to get upset because someone doesn’t agree with you or like what you like. Thank god we have so many options on the market for everyone to be happy.
