Matt Dubber is qualified to review airguns. He is pointing out everything he noticed, including the fact that you can’t decock the gun. That was the main reason for voicing safety concerns. Was one of the first reviews that popped up on YouTube, which is why I watched it and linked it not everybody is going to support every gun.
It sounds like it’s a powerhouse and when it’s working right sounds like it’s awesome. Being that it’s hammerless and different than 99% of the other air guns on the market makes it kind of hard to work on It sounds like.
It seems like an awesome powerful accurate rifle, but it’s definitely not for everybody
And out of curiosity, what is outdated about this video what has changed since the video has been released? Is the Mk 2 not the most recent version of this?
I respect your opinion. And I'm not trying to get into a pissing match.
But first off this is an Adult rifle not a children's rifle. But, if you want to shoot in your basement or your backyard with the kids, turn the Huben down to 110bar on reg. turn the power wheel open one to two clicks and get 500-700 shots per fill using Crossman 14.3gr. and have a great time. The Huben is so versatile.
The shroud sys is very effective for the power that this rifle is capable of. Show me another rifle that can produce up to 80ft/lb that is quiet.
Hubens are not everyone that's why we are blessed in this sport to find something that fits everyone's needs & wants. I really like the Huben for my needs as a hunting rifle. It's not made to shoot competition paper punching, but it will hold its own. Accuracy is in the eyes of the beholder. I have taken more game with this rifle than any other rifle that I have owned. From 7,000 grackles in one week using a Crossman 14.3 @ 340fps, 50 crows in a season using JSB redesign 25.39 @ 960fps, to 50+squirrels in season using a Nelson 27.5gr slug @ 960fps yearly.
If you are concerned about a live round in the mag. ready to fire, there is some options. After shooting rotate mag. to an empty mag hole. Use a tool of your chose to push the loaded rounds out of the mag.
As far as changes, Huben has made several changes to their air rifles from 2016 to the present. From internal changes, regulators, power wheel valves, barrels, air tube gauges, shrouds, quality control, to name a few. And yes, it functions the same from year to year. As far as repairs a lot of people were afraid of them because it was a new design for the air gun world. To me they are very easy to maintain & to service, it's just something to get used to.
I'm just stating my honest opinion, and No Huben is not for everyone. Just like FX, Daystate, etc are not my cup of tea.
Happy shooting to everyone & keep enjoying this sport.
