Has anyone put a moderator on their Huben K1. Just checking to see if it made much difference in the sound. And how easy the adapter was to put on.

makes a big difference for me when shooting 40+ fpe. i bought mine used with the adapter put on, so i can't speak to the difficulty.
from reading on this board, you will want to use a blowdryer to heat the end cap for a bit, and rubber strap wrenches to avoid damaging the shroud

I had to use a heat gun to loosen my cap - it was just a tight fit vs loctite, etc. I tried a couple different mods, all of which helped the sound. I am running a Hggett Belita currently - cut the noise but didn't add too much weight. Go one caliber bigger on the mod.

just today i installed a Donny FL 25 cal Sumo on my .22 Huben K1. made it much better for the back yard. the factory muzzle cap was extremely tight. no loctite. used channel lock pliers with a piece of leather belt & a heat gun. UFF DA.

Must be super quiet. I didn’t think mine was loud at all, and it is my go to gun for backyard pests. I might have to re-evaluate. Did your shot change after install? Meaning did you have to readjust scope?

You have to get the LDC adapter(Joe Brancato or Donny FL) and pickle of your choice. I am running a Sumo on mine. Super quiet. Have found some of the Hubens don't like a pickle installed when shooting slugs. The poi will change and it makes a difference on how tight you install it.

I had a Sumo on one of mine but didn't like the length, plus it didn't seem as accurate so I took it off. On my other one I installed the Tatsu and its perfect. I'm shooting 18 gr JSB in that one. It definetely made it quieter.

Does anyone else have any experience with the K1s with moderators and slugs? I'm thinking of putting on either a Sumo or Tatsu.

I just got a K1 .25 cal shooting like 70fpe and to me it’s backyard friendly without a moderator and I won’t ever put one on it, defeats the purpose of having a short bullpup but that’s just me.. the impact of the pellet hitting my steel spinners is louder than the rifle

22 caliber Huben here with a Tatsu I can tell the difference in the sound. Well worth the $$$ for me, The Huben is one of my quietest 22 caliber guns, Mutant, Cricket, Prophet, My loudest gun right now in its set up is a Prophet 1 long gun shooting 25 caliber JSB 33.95 gr at 980 FPS also with a Tatsu , The pellet hitting is louder than the gun, Oops hate to ramble on but , Turn that Huben knob a little and that 25gr 22 caliber pellet will buzz 1200 FPS and faster and sound like a power burning 22 , I didn't test accuracy but my ears did ring.
