HUBEN K1 Owners: How do you work this thing?

How do you adjust the bottom power dial? It's stuck in one position.

The pressure gauge reads the working pressure, not the tank's fill. Which hole do I put the allen key into to adjust the working pressure. I need to turn it to 1800 (MPA) for slugs.

How would one clean the barrel? (not that I'm going to). A crown saver won't make it through the magazine.

Also, the fill probe inserts to the last o-ring and then stops. Is it inserted correctly in the last picture?

I have a couple bags of small parts and springs that came with the gun. Its the latest model. Thanks for the help! -Nate

The bottom power adjuster should not be stuck. It may be to tight, try using one the provided Allen wrench to loosen it.

To adjust working pressure, put the large Allen key (included with gun) in the hole behind the grip in picture #2

I have over 5,000 rounds through my huben and have yet to clean the barrel. But if I were to try I would use the cleaning pellets.

I forget if that probe is supposed to be like that when inserted as I have installed the altaros pressure gauge in place of the stock one and it uses a different probe.

Enjoy your new huben! It’s the most fun I’ve had with airgunning

Practice your Google Fu and search "Huben K1 airgun nation". I came up with this...

There's one part of his review that didn't sit well for me because all things need servicing. Nothing last forever.

That thread is since September 2015 so I'm not sure if things have changed with the revisions.

I heard that about the Huben when it came out...never service it...titanuim parts or something. Interesting.

Thanks for the info Legionair! Just what I needed to know. If it's super fun I may have to get one, the gun is on loan for the review. I'm rounding out my personal collection now. Getting rid of some, grabbing a RAW in .22 soon. ...maybe once I shoot this I'll decide I need a Huben next to my RAW and RW. Thanks for your opinion on the Huben fun factor!

Yo!: The gun is stuck on low so it's shooting crosman premiers like they are paint balls. I can pull the trigger so fast though that it puts a "rope" of pellets into the air. That gun is crazy with the 8 ounce semi auto trigger. Video on the way.

The trigger should be around 3lb. so it may be defective and somehow affecting the power wheel.

An aftermarket pressure (air tank) gauge is available, ( I thought I had read it was fitted as standard on 2020 K1s )

The rear hole is for a sling stud.

I once read/seen a question asked on AGN regards the fill probe, The person asking was advised by other owners the probe SHOULD sit just as per your Picture.

Well this is all wrong.

The gun is totally serviceable IF you have any type of mechanical skill. Its not really any harder to service, fix etc than any other PCP. I do them for my friends and myself as we have at least ten in my area with four of us each owning two. Great guns.

Parts are available from KrazCool Airguns as is service from him. Kelly is a great guy to deal with.

And Nate, a 5mm allen wrench adjusts the reg pressure which is the hole behind the grip. The power wheel screw may be too tight is why it wont turn. Just need to back off a hair. As for the trigger , 8 oz is way too light for this gun. It usually takes a min of 1 3/4# to operate correctly so something seems off there. May have to adjust the rear screw in a bit, RH one. If its that light may may experience full auto and air dump. The power wheel turns counter clockwise to increase power. I start at one full turn out from closed and adjust from there over a chrony.. All this is with 2016 and 2018 guns so it could be a bit different with your 2020 if that is what you have.

The fill probe inserts just as your pic shows.

Don't go too low on the reg setting or the gun may not function correctly. They usually need at least 110 - 120 bar setting at a minimum. For 18 gr I usually set them around 120 to 125 and for 25 gr 130-140. For slugs over 30 gr 160 to 170 seems to work best. If you have any questions on operation feel free to ask.

I'd just shoot it for now before doing any tinkering to it as of yet. Yo!

Not relevant to the question he asked.

What I meant to say was Nate ol buddy ol pal ol friend I'd really like to hear your take with a mini review on that BRAND NEW 2020 Huben K1 shooting it straight out of the box for us guys who don't like to tinker so we all can know what to expect from that new 2020 BAD BOY straight out of the box. Thanks! Yo!

I shot some 14.3 Cpum's through mine for a short while. I think I had them going about 925 and it was accurate but then the accuracy went away. But I was experimenting with different pellets and didn't clean the barrel between sessions. Since then I have used JB bore paste and polish and started shooting 18 gr jsb. It shoots them like a laser and is deadly accurate spitting them out at 930 or so. If I fill to 4500 I can get five mags worth.

Good luck with your testing. I would like to see what yours does with the crosmans.

Tell me about the after market gauge please.
