Huben Slug - Peanut .22 caliber

Hoping for an epic result, like no more jamming for the user error challenged like myself.

No knowledge of luchtbuks but if they operate like Krale, might be another source when back in stock?
Lunctbuks is also known as Airgun Heaven.

In my opinion a decent supplier.

Reasonable price.
I've ordered several LW barrels for the leshiy classic as well as alpha barrels for the leshiy classic from AirgunHeaven and I have never had a problem with them. Both sites look mostly identical except for the font color. If you were to order from either one you would be in good hands.

I managed to shoot them today, I didn't to take pictures of the results today but those will come. I tried 3 different velocity setting with the gk1.

750fps, 850fps and 900fps, all shot at 60yds as I turned up the power, the groups kept getting smaller.

At 750fps the groups were averaging 2"-3" inches. I was shooting off the golf cart sterring wheel with some right to left wind, 6-7 mph on occasion I got some that were touching.

At 850fps the groups were 1"-1.8.", the shots were more consistent, I noticed that I had more of them actually hitting relatively the same spot. But a few fliers, which could've easily been me.

At 900fps they shrunk considerably, I mean touching each other, or hitting the same spot. Easily the groups were an inch and under.

These slugs are very promising and I'm looking to do more testing, I shot the gun at 290b, tethered to my tank at the 850fps and 900fps groups. Putting out 59.6fpe at 900fps you would get about 6 shots before dropping to 844fps which would cause your slug to drop about 2 inches at 60yds. At 850fps at 290b you're gonna get about 8 shots before you drop to 800fps.

Like I said in the beginning I shot this off the steering wheel of my golf cart, at 60yds, while the gun was tethered next to me. And surprisingly these shot better than the 25.39gr hades, which have me 7-10" groups at 25yrds from 800fps to 920fps.

Mine came in the mail today. Here are some measurements for those interested. The front two bands measure .21740" dia and the rear band is .22060" dia.

Alright got a video with the grouping and fps from 350b to 200b. These slugs would be more suited for a k1 than a gk1 unless you're tethered. I dont' have this gun sighted in with these slugs but I do know they hit about an inch right at 25yds so I solely shot for grouping.

I have this mold. Do those seat and shoot well from the GK1? I don't have any on hand to test and when I cast I've been using my BBT mold since it casts 39-41 grain (depending on what pins you use) which seems like a better weight for the pistol
If they are the .249-.251 size it states on the site then no. They will have to be .254 to shoot well.

The drawing says 0.219 drive band, but when I mic the band I get 0.22085. Likewise for the body, the drawing says 0.217, but I measure 0.21800. They were cast in pure lead. These slugs fit the 0.22 cal GK1. They seem to cast at 28.45 grains with the HP. They are a lot easier to cast than pellets, the yields are much higher, (80%) once you get the lead temperature correct. Pretty easy to cast 500 in a session. Doesn't take many tins before you have paid for a full casting rig.

Unfortunately, this size mold is nearly sold out (in practically all it's permutations). Maybe there's another mold maker that makes an equivalent? The narrow drive bands make it tolerant to barrel size, just like the Peanut.

i am interested to learn which mold works for the .25 GK1. i was considering the MP molds one you mention, but was never sure if it will work with the mag, as i am afraid they might not sit snug and cause problems? what is the BBT mold? link?

MP Molds doesn't seem to publish dimensions, or at least I didn't find them. And they only publish finished diameter, which isn't actually specified where, with wheel weight material, rather than pure lead. NOE does publish their mold dimensions. That being said, not sure if the NOE 25 cal mold will work in a BBT. Closest that I can figure is this: https://noebulletmolds.com/site/product-category/bullet-moulds/251/253-52-fn-bb4/ but I have no first hand knowledge. Most seem to be sold out. NOE also has a 0.251, but from what I understand that is too small.

I think this is a thread on 0.22 though. Isn't there a thread or two on what works on the 0.25 GK1?
