For slugs, generally yes. With pellets, it's more complicated.

The pin designs aren't typically as good for loading pellets consistently with rifles that have round / oval barrel transfer ports. If you're using an aftermarket barrel inlet that is milled (with the little "bridge" in the middle), the pellets have no real chances of "dipping" down or loading non-concentric to the bore. Seating depth is another important factor. Depending on which barrel you have, they may or may not seat ammo ideally in the chamber throat.
