Huma-Air Mod30-1/2 Moderator test 2, muzzle dB

This review and testing video of Huma-Air Mod30-1/2 moderator for a second time. I conducted the test video with a HatsanFlash .22 PCP that was used on my previous test video. Now the dB measurement devise is one letter paper away from the muzzle.

DB readings were as follows:
Control group:
82,4db
82,1db
82,1db
80,2db
82,1db
avg = 81,78db

Huma-Air Mod30-1/2:
80,6db
80,5db
80,7db
80,6db
80,5db
avg = 80,58db

I would really want to find one of those old mod in .30 the ones with the cloth or felt inside.. those work great

If you get one of the new Mod30s with the Avalanche inserts, you can take them out and use hair curlers with felt wrapped around.

I must have 5 Mod30s and 3 Mod 40s. On a higher power rifle, sometimes I leave the first section empty or with an Avalanche in it. That allows for greater expansion than if that section is filled with felt. The rest of the sections can be felt - has worked great for me on .25s and .30s.

Thankyou
EDIT the studies i read were on Powder not air.
