Huma-Air Mod40-5/0 Moderator test 2, muzzle dB

Hi,

I was curious on how the Huma-Air Mod40-5/0 Moderator fairs up when you are testing the muzzle dB reading. I decided to test it out in the name of science and got pretty intresting results. I really do like the moderator and it is one of the most quietest ones.

DB readings were as follows:

Control group:
82,4db
82,1db
82,1db
80,2db
82,1db
avg = 81,78db

Huma-Air Mod40-5/0 Moderator:
80,3db
80,5db
80,3db
80,6db
80,4db
80,3db
avg = 80,4db

Yup, this is the one with the internals you are describing. Makes a big difference. In my case it is a bit too heavy to be used on my setup. I prefer the smaller sized ones on my Hatsan Flash .22.

Looking to put this on my M3 25 cal slug gun. Have the IA, don’t mind it but now wow’ed by it either.

Ya it can be. It isn’t terrible but wondering if the Mod40 would quiet down even more than the IA 1350
