I have a Huma mod50 with a loose object in the muzzle end piece! The object is large enough that it wont fit through the muzzle end hole. Anyone know how to open this muzzle end piece so I can remove the object.
Yes tried to shake it out but it’s larger the muzzle exit hole. It’s a hard plastic round little insert with a hole through the middle. The moderator is a .30, but I believe the insert was used to reduce the size of the muzzle exit hole to shoot .22 projectiles….
I have Mod 40's, and the cap just screws off. It is thin, and hard to get a good grip on, but can be done. I'd suggest using a rubber grip like for opening jar lids, and press the muzzle end into it and twist to get it off.
But that is with the Mod 40 - I have no experience with the Mod 50, but would not be surprised if it was the same but just scaled up . . . .
