Huma reg vs fx reg.

Finally got my Huma reg. 3 long weeks of waiting. Installed it on my impact. Took a few shots to settle it in. I let it sit over night to see if it creeps. 24 hours later, pressure still at 140 bar. Shot over chrony to make sure. Getting 870-880 fps with 34gr using 600mm barrel. Fx make good barrels..my impact is the most accurate gun I own. But they make poopty reg and gauge. Don't believe me just look at how many threads about impact/crown owners changing their regs to Huma and their gauges to wika. Fx could learn a thing or two about regs and gauge from those guys. My fx stock gauges are 20 bars apart. WTH. Smh. My fx reg creeps 10 bars overnight. Always had to fry fire 2 shots before a hunt. Got annoying. So glad Huma came to the rescue. Now I can finally go hunting without having to dry fire 2 shots to scared my prey. 

Huma reg vs fx reg. Huma use all metal while fx uses plastic piston. Plastic? Come on fx. This is a $2000. Why put a cheap plastic piston? To save a few bucks?

I was talking about fx stock gauge. The white one..they are way off. Many have reported that they aren't accurate. I'm glad fx moved to wika gauge. Hey should put wika in all their guns, not just on the impact mk2. Now they just need to upgrade their reg to Huma or better. Cause their lastest amp gauge still creeps.

Who isn't salty when they spend $2000 on a gun and have to spend another $120 on a reg to stop the creep. Now have to spend more on two new gauges. Also their c3 bumper o ring is cheap and get broken fast. Many are reporting their guns shooting low fps. Mine also had the same problem. Replace the c3 o ring to derlin and got faster fps from it. Impact is a great gun. I love my impact. Just have too many problems with it on a $2000 gun. I bought the impact for hunting of course. If I need plinking, I have many crosman bb/pellet guns to plink with.

HUMA aren't without their issues, didn't Ernest say a little while back that FX will be changing to a titanium piston?

No doubt the IMPACT has it's foybles, just like any other high end and complex airgun, my only issue with the MKII at the moment is the probe screw still backs out, I wish they would change the design.

Huma used brass. Still have to be careful not to scratch it or it will creep and leak. But still better than using cheap plastic. Tougher to scratch metal than plastic. Can scratch or dent plastic just with finger nails. And any tiny marks on the piston will creep. Have Huma reg on my Benjamin marauder since 2011. And it's still working great. Idk if fx will switch to titanium. Haven't heard about it. But they should have went with titanium in the first place. Idk why they even put a plastic piston on a thousand dollars gun.

It doesn’t matter what the piston is made from it’s the sealing face that is important. The delrin used by fx is perfectly serviceable but it is a hard plastic so even the minutest of machine marks will cause a slow leak. I have never looked at a huma reg for an impact but I would guess that the sealing face is made from a softer plastic (ptfe) so more likely to self seal, less likely to creep.

As for cost, there is about $20 worth of materials and machining time on a Huma, $100 for the name.

I guess it's only natural that public forums tend to display the worst aspects and problems of most products. Which is fine, as we all want to know the more common issues with things we buy. I have a Royale 400 with about 200 pellets through it so far. Great rifle, but I was disappointed in the initial chrono results and ordered a Huma regulator. I haven's installed it yet, and I'm not sure if I will. After more break in, the Royale is shooting more consistent strings, which Ernest told me is typical. So, I'll give it some more time and make a decision, but the FX reg may end up a keeper. It's a totally different design than the Impact reg, using a series of Belleville washers. Since it has no gauge, I can't speak to any creep, but I have no first shot velocity issue in the chrono strings, so I have to assume it is not a problem. And, no leaking. Yes, metal seems better than plastic, but, if like most things, the precision of manufacture and assembly are more important. There are some very good plastics out there, and some crappy metal. And maybe the traditional style reg that FX uses in the Royale 400 is is simply less problematic.

I own 3 fx rifles including an Impact. Why are they so good? I had to buy an other and another. Pellets get expensive you know and don't get me started on the scopes I had to buy. Darn you FX!

Draw your own conclusions, but sometimes the Huma has a tighter spread and others it’s the AMP. Neither creeps, both regulators work good enough for me though. Idk?

Just tether if it bothers you that much, get a reg with a huge volume.

My Huma reg creeps in my dreamline, AMP does not...so its not huma roses for everyone! No matter what I set my huma to, it creeps to 150 in an hour or two.

I'm planning on taking it apart again and checking the white disc this weekend...I do like the power I can get with it tho, up to 60fpe in .25, pushes those 34gr at the sweet spot!

Finalmente obtuve mi registro de Huma. 3 largas semanas de espera. Lo instalé en mi impacto. Tomó algunas fotos para asentarlo. Lo dejé reposar durante la noche para ver si se arrastra. 24 horas después, la presión sigue siendo de 140 bar. Disparo sobre Chrony para asegurar. Obteniendo 870-880 fps con 34gr usando un barril de 600 mm. Fx hace buenos cañones ... mi impacto es el arma más precisa que tengo. Pero hacen registros y calibres de mierda. No me crea, solo mire cuántos hilos sobre los propietarios de impactos / coronas que cambian sus reglas a Huma y sus medidores a wika. Fx podría aprender un par de cosas sobre reglas y calibre de esos tipos.Mis indicadores de valores de FX están separados por 20 barras. WTH. Smh. Mi registro de fx se arrastra 10 barras durante la noche. Siempre tenía que freír el fuego 2 tiros antes de una cacería. Se puso molesto. Muy contento de que Huma viniera al rescate. Ahora finalmente puedo ir a cazar sin tener que hacer 2 tiros secos para asustar a mi presa. 

Huma reg vs fx reg. Huma usa todo el metal mientras que fx usa pistón de plástico. ¿El plastico? Vamos fx. Este es un $ 2000. ¿Por qué poner un pistón de plástico barato? ¿Para ahorrar unos dólares?

Ustedes son los malos que aún conocen el engaño de fx de que usa repuestos baratos, todavía sigue comprándolo y no se queja públicamente para mejorar sus errores, pero la mayoría de ustedes solo sabe cómo publicar qué tan bien hace un fx, qué tan mal usted Se quedan callados y no lo dicen, tengo mucho tiempo tirándome a fx encima de mí, todos los que trabajan para fx y hasta los fans frustrados del fx me han bloqueado, porque llevo años diciendo la verdad, pero fx es tan poco ingenioso que publiqué el 12 de mayo de 2020 un dibujo de un rifle y lo vieron y copiaron mi idea e hicieron el Maverick, pueden entrar en mi cuenta de instagram y ver que no les miento @airgunplusrd1 dibujé eso diseño en 2019 y publicado en 2020
