My God what a beautiful rifle! I like everything you've done...the green camo goes perfect with the stock, and you have it tuned to perfection. And I am diggin your choice of scope and the fact that you also downsized on the magnification. I have the Athlon Midas 2.5-15 x 50 SFP scopes on both my Wildcat and Streamline rifles and I think it is more than enough magnification. I wish both my rifles had an adjustable buttstock...does the renegade come in .25 by any chance?

I think I'm going to bite the bullet so to speak and get the EDMU for my WC. I'm tempted to inlet the stock so that I can install it where the little brass nut is so that I can read reg pressure. Once I get things set, I can just put a WIKI there and move the EDMU out to the end of the tube. That is, if it will fit inside the dust cover.
Still waiting for this Unicorn to settle in and for the weather to stop freezing my butt off. It was 70 here today so I think the cold is over. Should be 50's and 60's until spring.

Yeah, I just put the Wika in the end of the pressure tube on my .30 Bobcat. The dust cover needs minor machining to shorten the inner lip by 1.55mm. It works now, but to fit perfect it needs the minor machining. Once that’s done I’ll install the EDMU there. I think it would be a waste to install it to only read reg pressure since there’s so much else it does based on system pressure and air use. Installing the Huma or Wika there would be a very good idea. WIKA on .30 Bobcat MK2 photo below:

When you carried out this mod did you adjust the slingshot at all? I’m weighing up old vs new renegade and also Bantam. Would be .22 I’m interested in tuning accurately as opposed to very high power. 18 grain at around 870\900 FPS should be sweet spot for anything between 50 to 100 meters I think.

No, I didn’t adjust the slingshot at all. From the factory I had about 890 to 895 FPS. That as high as you’ll get with the Huma Reg. In reality due to the very small transfer port you need a pretty high reg pressure to get a decent pellet velocity. I settled on approx 135 to 140 bar and around 860 to 865 FPS. This is right at 30 FPE with 18.1 JSB. You’ll get about a 60 to 65 shot count with 250 bar fill before coming off reg, and then another ten shots or so without a POI shift at 50 yards. ES should be around 7 or 8.

Thanks man, that’s a good result considering the restrictions of the porting. I doudoubt the new model will be any different internally apart from the regulator. It will be interesting when someone gets inside one. The new bantham might offer more adjustability. Will see if I can hold out long enough.

I actually think the “old” Bantam at $899 is the best deal in a high quality accurate gun. Has a large air supply, so in .22 for 50 or 60 shots you’ll have as good an ES as a regulated gun. Light weight, very accurate. About 30 FPE.

@nsw812, easiest way to depressurize, after you remove the stock, it to loosen the pressure gage a little until air starts coming out. Then let it drain loosening a little at a time. Don’t forget once you install the reg. you will no longer be able to read tube pressure, just reg. pressure.

Hi, Actually i got a renegade .25 HP and looking forward installing a HUMA Regulator on, any tips if it gets improved from shot counts, Velocity spread, Accuracy and does what are the type of pellets used ... and if there is a link so i can watch.

Great info, very much appreciated. I followed the instructions but got stuck trying to remove the air cylinder.
Tried to twist it, firmly but didn't turn.
Any ideas on how to unscrew that blessed air cylinder so to insert the regulator in?

Did you depressurize the cylinder first? You can either unscrew the pressure gage or the foster charging fitting. I recommend replacing the substandard pressure gage with the Huma 0-250 bar 23mm diameter gage.
