HUMA REGULATORS VS. FX REGULATORS FOR WILDCAT & STREAMLINE

Just stumbled upon this topic. Great comments.

Seems that Huub is the popular one. With good reason. Have a few huma's (in other rifles than FX).

Have bought an early .25 Streamline in May 2017 ; its consistency and accuracy all good and well until recently; since a few weeks experiencing very similar problems as earlier described in this topic.

I'm following.

Old thread I know, but question. Does the adjustment hole for the AMP reg cause a problem when installing the Huma with the 300cc plenum ???? How about using the 300cc plenum with the AMP reg ????😁

pretty sure you mean 30cc plenum but not sure what you mean by the rest. I just installed a 30cc Huma power plenum in my Streamline, then last night installed the Huma HP reg to replace the FX reg. Trying to find the time for testing, tuning and reporting but PM me if you have a specific question or test you'd like me to attempt to rectify.

Chiming in for a .25 Streamline. Installed the Huma Reg and Power Plenum today. Reg was set to 145bar. Hammer spring liked 3-1/4 turns clockwise the best, results were 870fps (avg) with the JSB heavies. Previous best with stock everything was 763fps. Havent checked accuracy at these speeds.

I'd like to be around 900fps (we are blessed with dumb coyotes). Will bumping reg up to 150bar achieve this? Would stretching the hammer spring achieve 900fps on its own?

For the record, 25gr JSB were at 984fps, and 750fps on medium power with new setup.

Hi guys.. does anyone know when you install the huma reg does the breath hole on the regulator have to be installed exactly level with the breath hole on the air cylinder ? .. also i purchased my gun second hand so what if the gun had maintenance work done to it in the past I don't know about and the air cylinder has been screwed back on but it's not actually the top of the air cylinder that you are marking to install the huma regulator ? I'm in a bit of a pickle 🙃
Any advise would be appreciated

Thanks

I believe the only critical thing is that the cylinder weep hole lies between the O ring seals on the reg. The dimension specs should accommodate that without any further attention. I used to have a Huma reg in my Royale, and I never paid attention to the orientation of the reg weep hole. I don't see as it should matter.
