Hunting Grouse

Sounds like headshot heaven. Will you be hunting in your home state of Missouri? If so I don’t think Missouri allow airgun hunting of upland birds, while Montana does. Be safe check the regs I might be wrong I used Pyramid Air’s map.

I wish, we don't have grouse here but we regularly hunt squirrels and bunnies with my pcps. I'm planning a trip to Wyoming if I can draw a tag or maybe Idaho over the counter tag

I would think any pumper i.e. 13xx, would do the trick. Less to carry and compact.
Blues are relatively stupid enough you could knock them out of a tree with a rock. The rabbits will be a little more wary, they KNOW they are what's for dinner.
Seriously considered a 2289 backpacker. I had a 1377 I modified out when I was a kit that was deadly on bushytails out to 30 yds

I highly recommend the Zoraki in .22 caliber. Three pumps and you have a hard hitting very accurate lightweight pistol.
Max Armory gets them in a couple times a year it seems.
I found a aftermarket barrel that gives a bit more power as well as accuracy, and allows me to attach the moderator.
The pistol is ridiculously quiet.
They cost around $260 if I recall correctly.

I'll check the notos out. I'm leaning towards something in pistol form. I hunt most everything in Missouri with a handgun already so I thought it might be a lighter yet effective choice
If your looking for a air pistol I'd go with one I just bought that is extremely powerful. It's the Huben GK1 pcp pistol. Mine came to me shooting the 18.13gr at 813fps. I can turn it up to around a 1078 fps. It's a beast but kinda expensive at $1250 but I'm more than pleased . New England Airguns is where I got it. I'm in Cape Girardeau MO.

C02 is temperature sensitive but both great guns on AGN
I looked at both. I think CO2 would be problematic in the mountains due to temps being anywhere from 0 to 50 on the daily
