FX Hunting pallet weight 25 cal

Hi I am very new into PCP airguns I just bought an fx impact sniper one guy at the shop told me the 33.9 grains I believe 25 caliber or best another person told me the 25 grain are best my intention is to use it for squirrels rabbits and the occasional coyote at maybe 30 yards if anyone has any suggestions on pallet weight please I would love to hear it thank you once again I know nothing about these guns other than their beautiful accurate and now I have one thank you once again

33.9 gr pellet works very well , even at 110 or so yards
Slugs 33gr -35 gr are even better for longer distance

You will need to try each and see what your gun likes. Probably a different tune for each.

I've noticed no difference between 25 or 33 grained pellets out of my .25 caliber, bottled Hatsan Jet 1. 700 fps and roughly 25 yards, the inexpensive domed Apolo pellets knock the squirrels around pretty good.

Hunt with whatever it's accurate with. Seriously. Test a lot of pellets/slugs and find out what velocity works the most consistent and just use that one. For my Huben, it's either 33.95 JSB Mk!!'s or 50gr Altaros smooth slugs. I have heard that Apolos are good but have no experience with them.

Pretty good advice being given. Sample some pellets and find the most accurate. That’s what to use for hunting. I find heavier non hollow points tend to pass through more often than a lightweight pellet. Of course that’s going to depend on what you’re shooting. I only shoot small game , rabbits and partridge.

Once I find a pellet my rifle shoots well , I tune the rifle to get the best from that projectile.

Try both to make sure! Even identical guns & settings can shoot differently. The idiosyncrasies of airguns

For squirrels, even 20 grain H&N FTTs work well. I took 18 squirrels with them and lost none. Rabbits go down easier so I would expect the same on them. Coyotes, on the other hand, require more penetration. 1-2 lb animals need less penetration than 10-40 lb animals, in other words. I would use the 34 grain on coyotes or a larger caliber. You could use the 34 on squirrels and rabbits but it is going to go through about 100% of the time. No big problem as long as it's OK to hit what is behind the animal.
