Other Hunting Rifle

@JakeMcCoy I think gray squirrel hunting is great preparation to give your hunting skills, especially if you’re stalking them. The Mora looks intriguing. From what I recall the velocity is in the mid-700s, but I don’t recall the projectile weight. Big bores are fun to shoot but they’re loud, more air hungry, and obviously the projectiles cost more unless you’re swaging or casting your own. The thing that I think would be good to figure out is where you’re going to be able to shoot yours to where it’s not disturbing neighbors and where you have enough range and a safe backstop. Once you’re able to reach play with the rifle at different distances I think you’ll get more of a feel for what some of us are saying about your initial desires hunting distance/range. Have you read any deer hunting threads in AGN?
I’ve not, been so focused on other things I’ve got going on that it’s all taken a back burner basically. I do see the validity and sense in not shooting from so far, now that I know far more about air rifles compared to when I very first made this post. Eventually I want something that I can take coyotes with, I think, and hogs. I’d like to start a FAM(Feral Animal Management company) and offer my services to farmers in the area for free if they’re willing to let me put it up on YouTube.

@JakeMcCoy Well I hope that your work situation improves. Then you can get back to the fun stuff. Please keep us posted on you management plan idea if l/when you make headway with it.
For sure! I appreciate that. I’m working on my own business for now but haven’t generated a cent yet, got laid off back in march, so I’m saving money where I can.

And I’ll let you guys know. I think it’s cool because it would allow me to do a good thing for free, and still have the potential to make money through YouTube.
