Hunting scope

I've always been a fan of compact scopes especially for hunting rifles. If that was my rifle I would not want a big bulky scope on a nice light trim rifle like the HW50.
I would recommend a 3-9x32 UTG Bug Buster scope. I've been using one for awhile now and really like it. I think it would go really nice on your HW50. It comes with an illuminated recticle but still works without the IR turned on. It's well under 200 bucks.

planning on one of these in the near future about $200

I had a bug buster on my Prod initially but it would not hold zero. UTG didn't honor the warranty either. I replaced it with a Hawke Vantage 2-7X and it works great. They are about the same price. Hawke Vantage 3-9 is only a few dollars more.

The little Hawke is my only 2-7, my other PCPs wear 4-16, 4-14, 6-24 and a 8-32. I'm thinking of getting the Athlon Talos 3-12, however, to have something smaller and lighter for hunting. I like a simple mil dot reticle for hunting which it has. Vector also has a 3-12 which is almost as light and is significantly shorter. Gets good reviews. But my Athlon Talos 6-24 will focus to less than 10 yards and my Vector 8-32 will not get to 10 yards despite it's rating. The glass on the Athlon is noticably better too. So I will probably get the Athlon. My experience with the higher magnification units isn't directly applicable to 3-12 scopes but the Athlon warranty is better and I like the reticle better too.

I have one of these on order from Optics Planet. I have heard many positive comments on Vector’s here on AGN. I plan to put it on my Wildcat which I primarily use for hunting.

Looking for one for my hw50 . around $200
@rws34 SWFA SS scopes are definitely worth looking at if you’re ok with a fixed magnification scope. I’ve read that they can handle springer recoil, but double check that for yourself. Thing about the $200 version of the 6x44 is that what’s usually the magnification ring on a variable magnification scope is the parallax ring on the SWFA 6x44 SS. I have a 10x, although it isn’t on a springer. I don’t know anything about your rifle, so it may not be the best pairing. Good scope nonetheless if you can get it to work.
