Hunting scope

Was told you can buy optics for them in there accessory section .. why should they pay to aim there gun when you can ?

well because between no open sights on PCP rifles.. makes me not want to buy them..I'd already have given up on this but I like quiet while target shooting.. and if it wasn't for the noise I'd just shoot 22lr..as it is I can shoot any gun I want here at home but I really prefer the quiet of air guns..
it's also discouraging that there's hardly any PCP pistol that are actually small enough to holster.. I have a velox.. it's ok but kinda of chunky.. it's just I prefer cowboy guns and well I tried to get a mustang lobo but it's not available in the USA.. still looking for the pistol.. seems like a GK1 shorty would be great except for the price..
I'm open to suggestions.

it's getting pretty rare now to find open sights on PCP guns fortunately they are still available on most springers..
I did shoot a friend's gun that has a 4x acog scope with fiber optic on top that lights up the recticale.. pretty wide field of view and very clear and light..

still prefer open sights..
wishing there was a easy way to add open sights on rifles. but this is my favorite out of his collection and mine.. and I plan on ordering one of these myself for a gun that I can't figure out open sights for..

@addison I'm not sure what your inteded use for hunting will be (e.g. quarry, terrain, weather conditions, etc). I haven't dealt with SWFA customer service and I;m not sure if this scope has zero stop. I have one, but I prefer to hold as opposed to dial.

My favorite hunting scopes right now are a Hawke Sidewinder 4-14x50mm 4-16x50mm FFP and a Vector Continental 5-30x56 FFP

You guys hold over or dial? If you dial what software/app are you using for measurements.

I do with my 25Cal slugger. I have Strelock on an old phone in conjunction with a laser range finder to figure out holds.

A print out wont really help you very much since air rifles are wildly affected by so many variables. It will get you kinda close, but not good enough for hunting. At least not the type I use my rifle for, the tiny ground squirrels.

Very true. I try to get a sighter in before every hunt. I shoot .177 so I typically have a ton of shoots to practice with.
