That galling part is like ignore your teeth and they will go away.

??? I'm not sure what you mean, but the galling is superficial and on the exterior of the compression tube.

Thanks! I like it. 250 pounds and the stability certainly reflects that. Will refinish the top this fall as it's taking a beating in the sun.
