Anyone know or have one of the new HW 30S stock with the cutout? What is the difference good or bad? Any input appreciated.
Yes behind the pistol grip. How do you like the HW57 I've looked at them also. Thanks for the reply/input.If you are talking about the cutout behind the pistol grip, it's butt ugly. I was wanting a HW57 and managed to find two, one a .177 the other a .22 NIB, tuned without the cutout and jumped on them. It may save a few ounces, but just lacks the classic look.
The HW57 is an excellent concept but Weihrauch's only failure. The rifle does not shoot accurately due to the tappet loading system. Six out of ten shots will be fliers. Very disappointing rifle. I purchased a TX200 MKIII that I am going to detune to a 12 fpe rifle to take it's place in my stable. Looks very pretty on my wall.Yes behind the pistol grip. Strange, I have not set my bench up for real accuracy testing, too many rain showers lately. I just held it up against a patio umprellla shaft and was getting nickle size groups at 20 yards using an Anshutz diopter rear sight. After that initial sighting in which is not what I call fine tuned, I have been only shooting it offhand, doing about 2"-2 1/2" at that range, Not nearly as steady offhand as I used to be, but it's gettting better. The fliers I get I usually call and more like one or two every 15-20 shots. The HW57 is an excellent concept but Weihrauch's only failure. Thanks and yes that stock looks niceI think they are very nice. Mine may be the nicest I've ever had. If I could only have one I might pick an older classic though.

The Hw30s are by far my favorite rifle. Air or powderI got a HW30S for Kim’s as an anniversary present and she loves it. Suspect it might be her favorite. I’ve shot it a couple times, nice shooting little gun. We both like the look and feel of the stock, but we never owned an older one to compare to.
That’s because you can holster it and shoot it one-handed like a side arm .The Hw30s are by far my favorite rifle. Air or powder
Being 6'4" 250 I probably couldThat’s because you can holster it and shoot it one-handed like a side arm .
I bought an HW50S with similar cutout stock recently, and honestly I didn't even notice the cutout until I saw someone here posting about how ugly it was. Ours feels good, and (to me) looks good.Anyone know or have one of the new HW 30S stock with the cutout? What is the difference good or bad? Any input appreciated.
I have one, it feels.... grippy with stippling. The whole rifle feels grippy. There is beech underneath I think, it is not hollow. Feels like a 4x4 HW30 .177. I plan on shooting it this weekend. It has been sitting in a box for over a year! Open sights at 30 yards anyone?Anyone got any experience w/ the HW30 Synthetic stocks? Do they feel cheap? Lighter? It looks like the grip is shaped differently as well.
Yes, have them both. The older one was very plain - prefer the newer one with checkering. The cut out on the new one is funky, but overall better.Anyone know or have one of the new HW 30S stock with the cutout? What is the difference good or bad? Any input appreciated.

Of course, the gray laminated or the old HW30 Delux stock is preferred.
