Yes, have them both. The older one was very plain - prefer the newer one with checkering. The cut out on the new one is funky, but overall better.
Of course, the gray laminated or the old HW30 Delux stock is preferred.

The plain stocks looked kinda Gamo. I bought one LNIB a few years ago because the price was way right. I never shot it. I found an early R7 stock a year ago for it. Those are THE best stocks IMHO. I can't mount it because the front screw is too short. Still never shot it. No rush. I have two other R7's. My preferred type stock is on the peep sighted Santa Rosa gun I've had 35 years.
