HW 95N Walnut Stock

Here's mine, received on June 1st. Earlier today I took off the trigger guard and gave the torx screw at the front of the trigger block half a clockwise turn, backed off the first stage tension, and now the trigger action is pure bliss. I love how easy it is to adjust the Rekord. :giggle:

Your 95 is the prettiest one I've seen. That one should be hung on a wall and shot once a year!

Anyone install sling mounts on the rifle?
I haven't on any of my air rifles, but a stud for a swivel at the butt is easy.

I wouldn't do one in the front. With the cocking slot there isn't a good spot to put one. Maybe they make a stud that replaces a forestock screw. The swivel will beat up the stock on the side and interfere with your off hand. But it would probably work.

A shotgun sling would work ok. Just a loop on that end to slip over the barrel. But they are a pain. They slip off when you cock the rifle and get in the way of your offhand too.

If I carry mine up the mountain I'll slip it in a case with a sling or strapped to my pack. I don't see a good way to mount a sling on one that does not interfere or put torque where you don't want it.

A stud up there on that barrel weight might work. I bet if you carried it like that much you would break open the action jumping a gap or climbing over a rock.

They just don't lend themselves to a sling. Any solution I've thought of has more drawbacks than benefits. My best solution is a gun case with a sling.

Very good information. I appreciate this. I won’t bother with a sling

Here is the shotgun sling setup I use on my R9. Sometimes I leave it on as I prowl through the woods, and sometimes I take it off so it doesn't get hung up in thick brush. It works well for me, and doesn't mar the stock or barrel. Some people put non-slip rubber padding under the barrel loop, but it can only slip so far, and hasn't been a problem for me. So far I have not had the barrel break open, and as you can see, accuracy hasn't been affected:) I use the same sling on my HW50S hunter with moderator. I do have a barrel band I bought years ago, but have just been reluctant to put that on and install a stock swivel on this nice beech stock. I may do that on my Diana 34D Classic, since I got that one cheap for rough use.

Excellent information. With pictures too! Thanks. I may just give a shotgun sling a go.
