Hi bearcat! If you have the experience, I would take the rifle down and give it a clean and relube. If not, I would just start shooting it and address any issues that I notice as they come up. I use traditional lubes in my spring guns like moly and tar and I have found that the moly seems to dry out or cake over time, even with use. In reality I think you should be ok to shoot your HW30 as long as it wasn’t stored in extreme conditions like an attic or a garage. Have fun!
