HW/Weihrauch HW30S - Strange Inscription On Barrel

Has anyone seen this on any Weihrauch before? I just bought this .177 HW30S in Canada. It’s S/N suggests 2017 year manufactured. The gun was pirchased as new. It is shooting incredibly well out of the box. I just have no idea what that inscription might mean. see pic of the inscription, and 5 shot groups 2nd time out at 25 yards. I mounted a Hawke 2-7x32mm Vantage AO, Sportsmatch 2 piece 1” 11mm dovetail. Thanks for any comments!

Mine is 2017 and Made in Germany is deeply stamped on the tube. Very interesting that a second one has appeared.

I wonder if the one with the Arabic script were intended for a different market?

I got mine from Great North Guns out of Quebec. Mine was missing the long front trigger guard screw. I opened a case with Weihrauch and they sent the screw which arrived this week. Maybe I’ll open a ticket with them about this inscription.

I don't speak Arabic, but I believe that is Arabic script...

Two of the symbols are for the Latin letters "w" and "h".

I contacted the vendor from whom I bought the gun and he informed me that the writing was on a shipment he had about a hundred guns. He assumes they were originally special ordered for an Arabic country, maybe Saudi. The writing can be translated as "one who is commended", "Praised", "Glorified".

That is it, the "2" and the "6" is in there?

Hi All,
Very happy to discover this thread on these "unique" HW30s rifles. Purchased mine online as new from Goble's in London Ontario last Spring.
I was puzzled upon opening the box. I wrote Weihrauch Germany an email and received a reply a couple of days later telling me that "the rifle did not leave their factory with the arabic engraving" and they had no idea who engraved it. Goble's also put me in touch with the distributor who said that he had no idea how it got their and that "most people mount a scope anyway, so it won't be seen" lol. For the price paid (just north of $300 Canadian) it doesn't bother me at all. The rifle shoots great. Smooth cocking and no buzz whatsoever.

Thanks so much for replying. Your engraving looks the same as mine! I feel the same way about my HW30S. It continues to amaze me. Yesterday I shot a one inch group of 5 at 50 yards. Shooting .177 Air Arms Diabolo Express 4.5/ 7.87pellets. I have a Hawk 2-7 scope mounted.

That's a very nice group at that range! Regarding the translation of the engraving. A native speaker told me it says "to praise".

it says "to praise". That certainly describes a HW30 , If either of you want to sell or trade for a new one let me know .
