Well I tried to do this once before but ran off and forgot my scope and pellets it's wonderful to be brain damaged and old cuz you always have something to blame it on.
Anyway I managed to get it together this time. It was raining and nasty out with winds at 3-7mph but this part of the range is covered so it's all good. I only had 5 different pellets for the test mostly JSB but had the CP's too. First I tested all five pellet types for five shots in each pistol and then picked their favorite for the test. The HW seemed to like the Hades best for some odd reason. The 2240 did it's best with the JSB domed 15.89gr. I was able to tune a little, adjust the hammer spring, with the 2240. I still have more to do yet. I don't know about tuning on the HW44 as of this date. This will likely change as tuning and pellet choices are werqed out.
That little bit of tuning shrank the groups with the 2240 by half an inch which is the only reason it beat the HW. Other wise they would have been tied. The HW had the advantage of a way better scope even though I turned it down to 4 power to match the scope on the 2240. The 2240 had a slight advantage on pellets as I have heard the Hades don't do well in wind.
