HW44 X-Tend Stock

I’m on a similar thought process to you, Wanting to test the range and accuracy of the hw44 with a stock. What would you recommend as scope options? I have a crossfire scout 2-7 x 32 on there now but eye relief is a non starter.

many thanks

I’m using a Leupold 6.5x20 EFR on mine. I know that sounds ridiculous to have a rifle scope on a pistol, but the gun is as accurate as a lot of rifles. I only shoot it off of bags like a mini rifle. This gopher target is at 60 yards, and once you get dialed in you can smack it in the head almost every time, incredible accuracy in my opinion. My friend had never shot a gun before, and she was hitting the inside of dime size circles at 20 yards. The HW44 and the stock are going to be a deadly combination.

My 1/2 riser mount that was delivered last week was not high enough to clear the stock adapter attachment point, I have now ordered

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BG21RNA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C7836PX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Both are scheduled for delivery Wednesday, I think the first one, 3/4" should work, but ordered the taller one also just in case.

I think one of these is what you will need, in addition to possible lower height scope mounts. I will post photos of my setup when the new Picatinny mounts arrive.

I ended up using the 3/4 inch riser bridge:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BG21RNA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It does make contact with the stock adapter but I don't think it's going to be an issue. Also installed a single point sling attachment:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089522KM8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And it also makes contact with the Scope, but again I don't think it should be an issue as I can still rotate the magnification ring and I usually leave the magnification on the highest setting 6x. Just waiting for some warmer weather to get everything dialed in.

Hopefully this helps others, I also ordered some other goodies and will show off the build when everything is delivered.

Looks 1st class thank you for the share. I tried a NIkko scope but tooooo big so will explore similar options that you’ve described. Thanks for the Amazon links OOS in the UK but eBay have similar options listed so can pick those up locally. I’ll have a Bipod attached to finish mine, will let you know how it ends up in a few weeks. Would be good to see how yours completes 👍 your’e lucky to be able to buy 18joules off the shelf I’d need a firearms certificate to own that version here. A meagre 6ft lbs for us so won’t be getting the range that you’ll enjoy.
