I was hoping to upgrade an old HW50 Perfekt trigger with a replacement trigger unit from Rekord. I can find only replacements for HW55, with no mention of it fitting the HW50. Is this just an oversight, or is the Rekord trigger not made for the HW50?

Yes, but this HW50 has no safety on it anyway, so its no loss. I just am worried that I buy a trigger for a 55 but it won't fit my 50.

The Rekord is a standard-sized module that fits any HW rifle - so it should be fine.
I'm surprised the seller has extra HW 55 triggers lying about, and that gun was discontinued 25 years ago! If that's really what it is, the HW 55's Rekord had a lighter blade-return spring, and extra sear polishing, so you should have a purty nifty shooter when you're done. (The HW 55 basically IS the old HW 50, by the way. Same receiver and barrel, with appropriate mods to the breech, mainspring, stock, and sights.)
The only (very minor) fit issue with later HW 55 triggers is the locking sleeve on the weight adjuster screw behind the trigger blade. The top of the trigger guard has an "extra" hole to clear this. You can simply turn the sleeve off if needed - the weight screw will work fine (but its outside face will be threaded).
Older HW 55 without locking sleeve:

Yes, it is the whole trigger unit/box that I hoped to replace. the old Perfekt unit has a couple of broken pieces, so I was hoping to replace it with the Rekord box.
