HW/Weihrauch HW70 Instant Favorite

Maybe one day I'll get the bronze star. I'm done buying for a "little" while..lol. Wonder which would be funner a .177 or a two two.🤔
I recommend .177 for spring powered pistols. More pellet choices and weights. Mine likes H&N FTT 8.64 453 head size the most. I was hoping for good results with 10 or 13 grain pellets and experienced very poor accuracy.

I have the standard HW70 and the Black Arrow. Both have great ergonomics and excellent triggers. I have to send the BA back to AoA, again. Mine keeps breaking either the main spring or the seer. It is a shame. I really like both models. They are the pistol equivalent of an HW30. Everyone should have one for backyard plinking. The Black Star is a hand cannon compared to the HW70 platform.

You said Black Arow BA is a hand canon compared to HW70. What the FPS and FPE of the BA?
Thanks Randy

The HW70 and the Black Arrow are the same model. The Black Arrow comes with a nice pickle, a Weihrauch 2x20 scope and dovetail rail. The HW70 comes with open sight only. If I remember correctly, the HW70 models are right around 3 fpe with a 7 grain pellet. The HW45 Black Star is right around 6 fpe with a 8.64 grain pellet. Very snappy.

Thank you for that info Much more interested in buying now
The HW70 is one of the best back yard shooters there is in any trim. I shoot cans at 20 yards with the standard HW70 all the time. Very accurate, great iron sights and very easy to cock and shoot. Definitely an all day shooter.

The only target that gives me grief is the smallest steel spinners. Everything else feels my wrath from the HW70.

Shoots the JSB RS 7.3's, the H&N Terminators and just about every wadcutter I have tried.

It’s apart in a box and I never gave it a thought.
To guess without looking I would say blued.
Are powder now? Were they blued? All blued? All powdered?
It’s been a while since I stashed it away.
From what I have read here and other sources, i.e. AOA have it in the description. It could also be a baked on finish like enamel or lacquer or even epoxy. No one comes right out and says
what exactly it is. We know what rust blued steel is.
