HW/Weihrauch HW80k

To the best of my knowledge the Goudy style was only offered on the R1. The Hw80s i remember only had the abbreviated stocks that didn't cover the whole breech block. I find them functional but ugly.

It's the reason I never bought a Hw80. I bought this R1 on a bender when it showed up on Fleabay. It's been for sale on and off. Not my favorite rifle. I personally think a R9/Hw95 is a better gun.

Has that been chopped or is it a LRH version?

IIRC the gun was originally built in 92 or 93. It came with a long 177 barrel. Hated that gun in 177. Too harsh.

The barrel in the picture was a new 20 cal 80 K barrel with a Straight Shooters muzzle end. That barrel was low on power. Weihrauch replaced it but because of local availability it was replaced with a new long 20 cal barrel.

Looking for more energy and pellet choices that barrel has been swapped for new long 22 barrel. It's the least harsh in 22, so it will stay that way unless I ever decide to sell it.

It does make more power in 22 but like other Weihrauch 22s I've tested it only gets more energy and acceptable accuracy from one pellet, H&N FTTs. So oddly I had more pellet choices in 20.

Oh well. I much prefer my 95 family guns. They only make 2 maybe 3 fpe less but are lighter and more enjoyable for me to shoot.
