Picked up a used 20 cal 95 yesterday in very good condition and came with a few thousand pellets most ftt and a tin of barracudas.
I headed straight to the range and mounted an old nikko stirling I had on another gun and sited in. Barracudas, ftts and jsb all grouped well.
Chronograph showed 7fps variation over 10 shots (699-692) 6 shots were 698.
I noticed it was a little gritty to cock accompanied with a honking noise. Firing cycle very twangy but no loss of sit picture.
Fully stripped the gun degreased an relubed and cocking feels like a completely different gun.
The seal looks worse for wear but is giving really consistent results.

Do I change the seal? If so should I go the red concave seal or green eco seal from custom air seals?

Cheers

Or arh , but may require fitting of his seal.

Ya, looks like a typical hw factory seal

Notice the transfer port mark that been stamping into that seal ..

Probly from slamming . Could be caused by poor seal, breech seal or I'll fitting / loose or too lite of pellets or dry fireing a lot ..

One of my old factory seals ..

I live close to Vortek HQ. The seals cost $17 USD. I am placing an order this week as a matter of fact.

Rate quote to Australia is about $40.

Want me to send you one? PM me.

That's still hard to swallow...

How much in a bubble envelope and some stamps ? May take longer but ..
.lol. I can wait a week for a 40$ savings .🤤

For that shipping regardless I think I could suffer with the local cas seals. I really don't see anymore complaining on them then any other ..

Easiest option.

that being said use a bit of pre load on top hat.

Funny I never noticed that 1000bar rating on a piston seal before ..

I ended up going with the green more traditional CAS seal

Looking at your shipping options and all that. I woulda just cut the chase and went local seal .. lot of folks like them cas seals so can't be all that bad vs any other ..lol

Edit ..

Did not think but still got the same issue I guess .. has had the 33mm Gamo piston seal I can't get here so same problem .

What I also thinks funny is cas has usa shopping like amazon and eBay bit don't offer the Gamo seal here . It a only order from home shop Australia.

Go figure and why is that ?
