2 young pups out for a late evening snack and were eaten by something I've not shot in 2 to 3 years!
razor62; There is something very different about shooting/hunting with a springer but it's very challenging at the same time. When you know that you only have one shot, psychologically things change when it's just you and that one shot with a springer.Nice shooting. In my opinion, it's a lot more satisfying with a springer. Just puts the romance back into the hunt.

EMrider; I've shoot pcps religiously for years and set my springers to the side, I just wanted to see if I still had what it takes shooting one. I do enjoy the challenges of springers but I enjoy even more seeing how far airguns have come in my life time and being able to own a few of them.Well done. I hunt often with those GTO 11.75g pellets and they deliver excellent accuracy in my guns. Nice flat trajectory too.

maxtrouble; You're correct as well however the scope that's on my HW95 is one that I had laying around, it's cheap and has to be replaced. Harder and lighter than lead, these pellets can cause a problem if one isn't careful, so caution is advised. Thanks to everyone for your responses!Nice shooting! Hunting with a springer is very challenging, really have to know your rifle and it's trajectory.
The only caveat to those pellets is they will ricochet. I found out the hard way shooting indoors.
@Struckat;Nice shooting.
I find that when target shooting I fret too much over hold, trigger pull and how I hold my face on Wednesdays.
When in the field with a live target I forget all that, not necessarily on purpose, and just aim and shoot.
They have indeed come a long way, but IMHO that largely applies to PCPs. I like the fact that springers use 75+ year old technology and still get the job done quite well.EMrider; I've shoot pcps religiously for years and set my springers to the side, I just wanted to see if I still had what it takes shooting one.
