Tuning HW95-Which Tuning Kit?

Which is the best tuning kit for the HW95: Vortek, ARH, or Tinbum? Each seems to have it's following. The components of the Tinbum kits appeals to me because of the lubricity of the Delrin material. Please, if you have only used one of these kits and have not used others, then you have no comparison. I know many will say I use "X" or "Y" and it works or it's crap, but I'm looking for a comparison.

I can't say it enough, there is NO BEST only opinions! I have used all you mentioned, and they are DIFFERENT. Each individual will have to choose what it is about the difference they want, like or need. Typically, the Vortek kits are more potent but they are custom made kits, so you ask that they be built to your specs. The JM kits are usually a bit more subdued in shot cycle and power.

Get all three and see what suits you best. That's my strategy. I'm on Vortek now and will be ordering the ARH next. I'm sure I'll try the Timbum spring sooner or later.
Ya can and learn and see what you like it's a good practice .

I'm down to the less mess less fuss .. lol just wish the arh seals were as drop in as vortek. I guess fitting is fun in its way .. oh well.

That was the reason I started with the Vortek. The seal was drop in.

I'd be willing to bet the ARH when sized properly is just as good or better. The factory seal had no friction at all. The Vortek fit nicely and provided a snug fit.

I'll probably try an ARH seal with their spring to experiment with seal tension. Start tight and check velocity as I whittle it down to size. I'm interested in how much seal friction matters and where the sweet spot is. If the seals are tight it seems like a convenient way to learn something.

There is a different firing cycle between the Vortek and AGH kits, the Vortek has more of a push like cycle.I put AGH kits in all my springers,it is the consensus that AGH kits last longer. With all that said I am not going to take out my Vortek tune to put in a AGH tune just for the sake of changing. The English tune kit is well liked,I have never used it,that is the one you should get so you can tell us how much you like it(y)

Who is it on here that was breaking a spring every week..lol?
Not me .. lol..

Once a year maybe but I was shooting 500 shots a week ( every 10 days +/- that's 20000 +/- a year worth ). So ya I guess a spring spits her bits by then .. ( that's just the r9,). So?

😂 I couldn't remember who it was.

That 95 has a walnut stock. Its really pretty. I basically just gaze upon it. Once in a while I'll shoot it. It's a super accurate rifle but it's too short for me and I don't care for the iron sights. The Vortek kit is not a perfect drop in and its a bit slower than I expected but (so far) it works great and I'm happy with it.

I have Senora Maria Conchita Albarez now (Cometa 400 gas ram). I like her so much I invited her sister Juanita Carmelita Gomez to come stay with us on a permanent visa. She should arrive by UPS right after Christmas. The señoritas aren't quite the looker that ol' Helga is but they shoot great and make a helluva enchilada.

I hear good things about Titan springs. I understand they make a couple sizes and you trim to fit and make guides. They seem to be the popular replacement spring for many rifles outside the US.

I believe I saw them on the ARH website if I remember correctly....

I'm not sure if they are appropriate for the HW95. If they are it may be worth adding them to the list of possibilities.

Have you looked at the TBT kits. I've been watching his youtube channel and he shows some cools stuff on there.

I've looked at them. Sooner or later I'll try one. He's got his special grease he calls "bumslide". Gotta get me some of that!

He's a riot. I like his videos. He obviously knows his stuff. He's cartoonishly English and is very entertaining.

... Did you see the HW97k he shoots? He shortened the mod by slipping it back over the barrel and shortened the cocking lever. Just a great idea!

He's a member here. I've seen a few of his posts. He even writes with an English accent. What a hoot!

I'd buy a kit from him just because he's such a character. I've heard the springs are top notch and last a long time. No experience with them yet but I'm working on it...
