Accroding to the FPE calculator on the NSA slugs site this gun makes 14.5 ft. lbs very close to a Diana M34 in .22.

HW97 in .20 are great! We are running 2 of them and the shot cycle along with the ease of shooting is yielding fantastic results for small pest control. The HW77 carbine in .177 is a favorite also. Probably shoots as well on the closer distances and the .177 is proportioned to the smaller mass of the gun.

I've got a R7, R9, 97 and a HW80 all in .20 not to mention 3 different PCPs... Lol

I've been a .20 cal nut for years and my 97 is definitely one of my favorites!

I ordered a 97k .20 last July as well a few others in .20. I was told .20 or .25 will not be available, unfortunately. I don’t know if being in Canada has anything to do with it, but maybe. I do have 5 97’s now. Everything is stock, hopefully not for long. Crow

I just purchased a .20 hw97 from Airguns of Arizona. It was the one with the blue stock though, only .20 i could find available new. They might still have some in stock.

Another vote for the HW97k and H&N FTT's. My only complaint is the pellet count. 250 pellets per tin is a shame. Shrinkflation.

Do you folk generally notice any barrel droop on the 97k.

Mine shoots about 5" left and 6" low..lol. I corrected that with signature zee rings with eccentric inserts and can get it almost complete zeroed with out using any turret adjustment, with an optically centered scope.
You can bend the barrel to correct if ya have the balls and skills to do it.
My 77K was also off quite a bit.
The Prosport was the closest of the three to being perfect.
