Hw98 .177

Solution
Got it shooting. Had to close the gap on the shoe a smidge, very easy to do. Problem solved. Shoots like a lazer too :)

FWIW, my .22 95 Luxus cocks almost silently, is the smoothest coking break barrel I own, and has never been touched. Does have a bit of twang when fired but not a lot of recoil. I have other guns that recoil much harder. Be interesting to see what you find when it’s opened up.

How is that RM8? I have a .22 Maximathor and it’s a fantastic gun. That’s why I bought a stock of parts for it about 8 months ago LOL. The quirky stablemate I finally found for it should be here today or Monday. Being in the UK should be one you recognize.

The rm8 is great iv got a cheapo night vision set up on it at the moment to hang out of window in middle of the night splatting rats :) i love the thing its blooming cumbersome to carry around tho. My mosses is complaining i have to many guns in all i have 6 airguns in the bedroom cupboard and a crossbow lent up against the wall :)

Since you are already in the UK, I would say go with someone like TinBum, or someone who has the sub 12 thing down to a science.
Ther are several tuners and houses that could do the service for you over there.

After watching Si Pittaway videos, I would be very keen on a tune from Sandwell Field Sports.

Best of luck to you with the new rifle, she is a right cracking piece of kit!

My wife shoots them with me. She’s getting pretty good. And with a bow? Don’t bet your lunch money ha ha ha. Get your missus out to play a little, maybe she’ll like them.

For fun

Maybe be back then you could pull it out to buy a tin of emergency pellets?

Mike said that 1967 was the birth year of the original owner who comissioned the rifle.

Cool pics and story about the coin, Kingfisher61.

Fun link Mo-Ron.

Ok.. ive heard of them ..lol. Here air guns of Arizona seems to do the same thing or stamp u.s.a i hear tell..

Yehh it happends on alot of guns depends who imports to what country
Ya i figured it was warranty.. as in if it dont have our stamp we ain't warranting it kinda thing.

Guys that buy from krale or some other places say theres aint stamped in any way. (???). Mostly all i worry about is a solid working gun and best pricing 🤤

I know the subject comes up but I still believe it's about power level liability when it's imported. I know the barrel doesn't determine power but IMHO it's a good place to stamp it. My 3 HWs were from AOA and they are marked USA. For the record, I bought a .22 barrel for my HW95 from AOA. It is marked DE.
What and how does the barrel have to do with power? So i take a Uk low power gun put a high powered USA barrel on it and it converts it to full usa power?

Thats in the receiver so youd stamp it

Kinda like that "F". On the receivers to mark that ..
