I am interested in a range finder for FT

I have never used a rangefinder in the past- they are not allowed in a AAFTA match. BUT- I just asked for one for Christmas.
The reason is I have been to multiple matches and even big GPs and National events where I had some confusion when I sat down on the sight-in range. Sometimes targets on the sight-in range were placed a bit off to what the distance was marked on them, or perhaps my seating position was not quite where they were measured from. I have waisted some time and peace of mind because I questioned if my markings or zero was a bit off.

So I think a rangefinder on the sight-in range can be a useful tool.
This is the one I have now:

At a state match I borrowed a friends cheap LRF when setting up the course because I didn't want to walk all the way back to my truck. This was to try to make sure targets were within the rules of 10 to 55Y. I ended up with one target that was more like 8 yards somehow which was discovered during the match, LOL??!! I should have been more careful because from past experience using LRF's I owned that didn't perform well I was suspicious to begin with. I shoot in Freestyle/Unlimited so I use a LRF and I will know the exact distances anyway = when I use my LRF.

So from now on I'll make sure to use my Vectronics PLF-05 instead because I know I can trust it. The point I'm trying to make is to spend a little more and get a decent quality LRF, maybe not as much as I did but at the same time you get what you pay for.
